Thank you for the info everyone. I ended up picking up some from a dive shop local to me and this is how it came out

    Question Webbing

I recently ordered 10 yards of webbing from strap works on Amazon. I am planning to use it for my harness on my BP/W, but I realized after it arrived that I ordered polypropylene and not nylon. Will this be ok for a standard back plate and wing set up, or should I just send it back and reorder...

Best dive resort / house reef in Curacao?

We just got back from a trip to Curacao and stayed at Lions Dive Resort. We dove with Ocean Encounters for the whole week. Ocean Encounters has a dive shop right on the resort (it was literally 200 yards from our room) with lockers and a place to hang gear. They have a great house reef for shore...

Is there a way to change the color of fins (besides buying the color you want)? Like if i had white fins and wanted to paint/dye them to a blue or green?

    Olympus vs. Discovery?

I am with the group on this one, i tend to like 6 packs more than cattle boats. @Cindy Norris Garb and her boat Instagator are amazing, but located in swansboro. I would also recommend the Mutiny II. Which shops out of atlantic beach.

    Xt1 creep

That's the one. It's the same size as a regular #11, but just a little more stiff. Once it was replaced with the correct o ring, it worked perfectly.

    Xt1 creep

Its a number 11 o-ring. I didn't replace it because it was a new oriface. While trying to figure the whole thing, the original must have gotten changed out. The o-ring needed is more stiff than a normal o-ring. So putting a softer o-ring on the oriface was causing the creep. Changed it out, and...

    Xt1 creep

So after fighting with this first stage for a while, my shop owner finally broke down and called dive rite. Turns out it was the o-ring around the orifice that was the culprit. It was changed out and viola the first stage locks up like it should

    Xt1 creep

Thank you, and thank you for your advice. Im just starting at this, but will keep at it (under direct supervision from those more experienced than i. If i cant get the reg working properly, its no big loss. I offered to rebuild it for the experience, getting a working dive rite first stage was...

    Xt1 creep

I will take a look at the chambers next time im in the shop. But i was certified in february, and this is the first first stage that i have rebuilt. I am being watched over by the owner of the shop (20 years experience) and the other reg tech (both of which were recertified the same time i was)...

    Xt1 creep

Changed the orifice, and the o rings on the valve were fine. This was a 1st stagefound in a drawer in the shop i work at. Owner said if i can get it working i can have it. Ill try to update some photos or video tomorrow. As of now my next step is to take it all apart again and make sure i didnt...

    Xt1 creep

Today I was overhauling an xt 1 first stage, and could not stop the cracking pressure from creeping up. I have taken the regulator apart, and reassembled using the manual and dive rite replacement parts. When it came time to check the cracking pressure, the first stage would slowly get up to...

    Weird error with Perdix AI

I literally had the same thing happen to my Peregrine. Had to mail it in last week. But the customer service from shearwater was amazing. They even offered a loaner computer if needed.

Recreational Pony Bottles, completely unnecessary? Why or why not?

This was in north carolina. Im not sure about the surge, it may have been current, but i do know he "wanged" his valve and was loosing air fast.

Recreational Pony Bottles, completely unnecessary? Why or why not?

I personally do not dive with a pony (yet) but i know one of my buddies had to do a esa from 90 ft because his tank valve was pushed into a wreck because of incoming surge. This caused the o ring on his yoke regulator to to blow. This of course caused a free flow and rapid loss of air. A pony...

    New fin recommendations?

I had the same problem with my sherwood tritons. They are a great fin, but floaty. I have use the apeks rk3s, and liked them, but i settled on the deep 6 edsys because they are more neutral in the water
