I think the MK2S (the MK2 does) has the gesture feature (flip your wrist) to change dive screens.

How much time in port is enough? I have an upcoming cruise with a day in St Kitts from 8am to 5pm and was planning to book direct (with Pro Divers St Kitts as it looks like they are used to accomodating cruise visitors).

Could be. It was on, I think technically in sleep mode. It didn't have to boot up when I took it out of the package, just hit a button and the screen lit up. The shipping container was a little beat up (they used a cheap plastic envelope instead of splurging on a cardboard box!).

I did a soft reset (via the watch screens, did not remove batteries) and now it is reading perfectly. 0 feet at the surface and within a few inches at depth down to 6 feet (bottom off pool). There are no altitude/pressure adjustments available on the watch.

Just got a new Seac Screen dive computer (first computer I have purchased), and right out of the box it reads 1 foot while on the surface. Tested it in the pool (only 6 feet deep) and it consistently reads 1 foot too deep. I would expect some minor amount of tolerance underwater, but an error...

Try xcel, they have tall sizes and easy returns, so you could just keep what fits.

I've survived tons of tumbles on waterskis, wakeboards, etc with the Fenix over the years with no issues (knock on wood). I think the band attachment system is at least as secure as the others out there.
