I just had an AL80 hydro'd at my LDS this week. They do their own hydro's in-house. The total cost for hydro + VIP + air fill was $35, including tax. The last time I had a VIP and airfill only at the same shop it ran around $15.

I keep a loose leaf style paper logbook that I find interesting and helpful. I like having a record of my dive sites, who I dived with and interesting critters or creatures I observed. It's well worth the few minutes it takes to fill out at the end of the day.

I suggest going to Boynton Beach and diving with Splashdown. Awesome drift diving and a first class dive boat. Boynton is about half-way between Boca Raton and West Palm Beach, so there's plenty to see and do when your not diving. http://www.splashdowndivers.com/
