    What's your backup mask?

Where do you stow your spare mask? I dive with a FFM, and I just switched from a jacket to wing BCD.

Active Divers over the age of 50

I'm 64 and a late bloomer. I got my OW four years ago and my AOW two years ago. The pandemic put the kibosh on my dive log. I do most of my diving at Lake Phoenix Scuba Park in Rawlings, Virginia during the summer. I've also done some diving in Hawaii, Florida, and Dominica.

    Dive computer not working

Regarding the black spots: they’re on mine, too. So I wouldn’t worry about them. For anyone else with trouble syncing computer vis Bluetooth with Diverlog+: go to Diverlog+ Settings > Data Permissions. Select “Allow.” Of course, make sure Bluetooth on the i200C is on.

If I could buy only one piece of gear, what should I get?

I'm a new diver (OWC in October). But my buying-decision-making process is still fresh in my head. I agree that mask, fins, booties, and snorkel are crucial to own at the beginning because of fit, sanitation, and dependability (with an extensive snorkeling background, I have come across...

    Bucket List Checked Off

I live in Crozet, about 14 miles west of Charlottesville. But I'm originally from NYC (I just updated my profile) and lived in Los Angeles and the SF-Bay Area before I moved to Virginia in 1998. So I've morphed from "fuggedaboutit" to "all y'all."

    Bucket List Checked Off

Hello, everyone! When I was a little kid, I pretended I was a frogman when I "swam" under the living room table wearing my dad's old, single pane dive mask (think, "Sea Hunt"). Decades later, I finally became certified after a Discover Scuba outing in Kauai last summer. My first ocean boat...
