The Navy settled on it Decades ago and struck a deal with Aqua Lung for ETERNAL support.
There is a lot of stuff that USN still uses that NO ONE else does that Aqua Lung still provides the Navy.
If you want a modern Conshelf just get a Legend. It has the same internals.

What jjardin said is "Spot On" rent one for the time being.
Try a Dry Suit after a few more dives.
Then make a more informed decision based on that.
I personally still dive "Wet" after 42 years.
