Mares XR Heavy Pure Sidemount Set

XDeep stealth has been out for almost 10 years. In those 10 years we have seen mares, Hollis, diverite, halcyon, and countless other companies copy it. Now, why would you think they copied the XDeep design?

How to answer "what is your highest certification level"?

I heard someone went to dive center down south and asked for nitrox and was denied so he gave them his tri mix card and said can we take out the helium. I remember seeing it on this forum don’t remember the rest.

    Neutral al80’s anyone?

Honestly, I could not say I always ask for the full manifold stem tanks when I dive side-mount or purchase my own tanks. All my tanks are setup with pairs of each other.

Weighting When Moving from AL80’s to LP85

All good mate, yeah the only way I can dive my steel 85 safely is via drysuit.

    Neutral al80’s anyone?

Sorry about the confusion I'm too used to calling it that, I believe it's called stem extension or something I can not remember. Attached is a picture of the circled area I am talking about.

    Neutral al80’s anyone?

I would assume its just flipping the tank so the regulator is facing out instead of in and putting the bungee on the valve instead of the manifold

Weighting When Moving from AL80’s to LP85

This forum section is specifically for side mount diving. I own 2 hp100 and 2 lp85 that I dive with single tank backmount which is very rare. The reasoning why I said get a drysuit before diving steel is because, with a person of low body fat and diving with 2 steel tanks, it would severely...

    Katana2 - bungee

Question 1: Are you "self-taught" or did you have an instructor? Question 2: What was the reasoning for choosing the katana2? Question 3: What tanks do you use? Question 4: Do you dive dry or wet? The video that JBFD is a way to attach the bungee to your shoulder straps but, I personally did...

    Question for Mexican Cavers

I found one of them but it's hard to tell if it's 32 or 71 cause of the person writing and video isn't focused on divers face not the tank.

    Neutral al80’s anyone?

Great post on gas volume but we are forgetting some key differences. The average al80 is normally around 2.5lbs buoyant at 500 psi. Some fellow divers and myself, I'm not gonna say the name of the tanks, 5 hp100 tanks and they all arranged at around 16lbs full in the water with regulators. At...

    Question for Mexican Cavers

Reasoning is I would rather have the 2-4K towards a rebreather before a trip. I’m not gonna waste my time with a rebreather down there. I would rather get a rebreather before making the trip down south.

    Sidemount with Console Computer

Questions.... What transmitter are you using? Have you contacted the company and told them off the issue? Having to replace your battery on a transmitter twice in one month should not be with a fully working unit, sounds like either the battery or the unit is messed up.

    Question for Mexican Cavers

I mean if you got the money and you stay in your ppo2 then who cares right? lol. That would be an exciting subject for the matter. Could the same be said if you just breath straight o2 out of the water for x amount of time. I don't think it would be possible to be 100% cleared while underwater...

    Question for Mexican Cavers

About 2 weeks ago I came across 2 or 3 videos on youtube of people diving in Mexico. I noticed that their al80 said 55%. With that being said do you guys down south seriously run that high percent? I figured you guys would be good at even 32% considering all the stories I hear is every cenote...

    Sidemount with Console Computer

When it’s your birthday change out the transmitter battery. Supposedly they last 5 years or something according to shearwater but better to be safe with the annual change.
