    I don’t know when I’m going this year, but always looking for an extra diving pair for the trip. The bigger problem this year is that it normally costs me about $1000 in gas to make this trip from my home port to Montauk to the wreck and back. This year — OUCH!

    At a minimum pull the valve off the tank and check the inside for any residue. If you want to be safe clean the tank.

    I read the "offending" post before it was deleted, and there was nothing offensive about it. I too don't want to be buddied with a spear fisher, that's not why I dive on a charter.
