Oceanic Pro Plus 3 Battery Compartment Screws
For those of you replacing the CR2 battery and -028 O-ring in a Pro Plus 3 (and probably PP2) replacement screws are aircraft part number MS51957-4. These can be purchased from Aircraft Spruce, or most aviation supply houses, for a few cents...
All,
Here is a quick update. The -901 does appear to be the correct size for placement under the tapered portion of the spindle. When you stretch a -901 slightly it matches the dimensions of the O-ring I removed. I was able to replace the two -007 O-rings without making any tools. A couple...
rsingler,
Thank you! I will get some -007 D75 O-rings ordered. I'll have to switch to Viton get the D75 from my supplier. I suspect NBR D70 O-rings would function just fine with the tank pressures I work with. I will most likely make a tool, similar to the ones used for installing the HP...
rsingler,
Thank you for the information. Of course I have every -900 series O-ring from -902 to -912. But no -901 on hand. I will pick up a few. The dimensions of the -901 are close to what I came up with when measuring the O-ring that goes under the head of the spindle. I suspect there is...
Hello,
I recently purchased a used Oceanic Pro Plus 3 computer with a QD hose assembly. I made a tool to disassemble the QD fitting so that I could clean and inspect it. I would like to replace the spindle O-rings (one in the QD hose end and one in the fitting on the computer.) and the O-ring...
Oceanic Datamax Pro Battery Compartment O-ring
I picked up a couple of -140 O-rings yesterday afternoon. As with the -141, they are a stretch install and a tight fir in the O-ring groove in the back of the computer. As with the -141, I cannot tighten the ring that holds the battery...
Oceanic Datamax Pro Battery Compartment O-ring
I tried a -141 O-ring today and it is a bit of a tight fit. The O-ring that was in the unit is very close to a 2.2 mm cross section. I had no luck finding any metric or AS/MS O-rings that matched what was in the unit. I contacted Oceanic and...
Couv,
Yes, a -141 is a 3/32 cross section. I was a bit surprised to find this large of a cross section O-ring in the computer. The existing O-ring is a 3/32 C.S. and the O-ring groove looks to be designed for a 3/32 O-ring. The depth of the groove pretty much precludes using a smaller cross...
I believe a AS568-141, D70 is likely the correct size. A -142 might also work. While a -143 would exactly match the case dimensions I suspect it will likely be too large. I will get a couple of each later this week and try them.
Cross reference to MS28775-141.
Aircraft Spruce carries the...
I believe the later models used two 2032 batteries. Mine uses a J battery and it is a Datamax Pro, circa 1997. My Data Max Sport I purchased new i 1993 has the "non-user replaceable battery". This is not shown in the manual available online from Oceanic but is it is mentioned in the manual...
Hello,
I have searched the forum but have not been able to find the O-ring size for an Oceanic Datamax Pro computer. This is the Datamax Pro with the J battery not a Pro Plus. It appears to be a metric o-ring. Does anyone know the o-ring size for this computer?
Thank you,
John
Hello,
I have a U.S. Divers 2" SPG with a plastic screw on lens. Unfortunately the lens is now a two piece lens. (See photo) Does anyone know if these lenses are available as a replacement item? A part number or source would be great. I searched the site but did not find any information on...
Hello,
I'll offer the following in the hopes of helping someone else who is working on a Titan from avoiding a problem I encountered.
Today I assembled a Titan First stage using a 900001 service kit for VDH. Per COUV's suggestion I checked the HP side for leaks. No bubbles, cycled the seat...
