Question. If the primary second stage is screwed into the first stage, and the other end is in the diver's mouth, being used for breathing, when does this silt become a problem? What am I missing? Is silt getting into the connection of the second stage hose where it connects to the first stage?

Hahaha... I think you're all correct... Tec divers, and all divers, to some degree, are a bit "off center." But the explanation as to why tec divers might want a little bit of a loser connection, makes perfect sense... Thanks for taking the time to enlighten...

Have you ever shopped on Ebay? There are all kinds of sellers. Ususally, those with "stores" will offer returns if not satisfied. Usually, those sellers who are trying to sell an item as a "one-off" don't offer returns as, quite frankly, they don't want to be bothered...HOWEVER...ALL EBAY...
