I am converting my ScubaPro Mk19 from yoke to DIN. I am questioning what is this O-ring for? I think it’s an extra wheel retaining O-ring?? The kit already has an o ring retaining the wheel installed. I know where the small Oring goes but where does this one go??

I removed the comfoswivel as I want to put on a 48" hose. The inlet male threading to the ST1 is much longer than a standard inlet....how do I attach 48" hose to it? Do I just thread it on and the rest of the threading towards the second stage remains exposed?? Or do I put a hose protector on it?
