Thank you for the great deal on the strobe! It just returned from 2 weeks in Bonaire. It works great. I used it to take my new favorite pic.

For Bonaire I would contact Dive Friends they are right next to the cruise ship pier. Buddy is a bit of a bus ride. Are you leaving Mexico on a cruise ship Stopping in ABCs and ending up in the USA?

I have a YS-01 probably 4 years old. I flooded a set of Batteries my fault Oring wasn't in groove. Ok So replaced ORing Clean contacts etc... Fresh batteries. Seems to work fine, A year later. I didn't have much opportunity for photos just lots of diving. Now the stobe is basically dead...

And you don't "need" to point out the Blantantly obvious without answering the OP's question about needing the "Most Expensive" part. For the dives you describe his Aqualung I300 would be fine. You actually do "need" a Tank or it's not SCUBA (Self Contained Underwater Breathing Apperatus)...

You don't 'need' one. I have used a simple "puck" in a console with an analog Spg for 10+ years. Just bought an air integrated computer jury's still out on it.

The "Cliff" north of Capt Dons (which is north of Buddy) is a great dive. If you go between 9-5 you can ask the Dive Friends shop staff for a brief. If they are not swamped with people they are usually very friendly and help ful. Easy in follow the pipe to the reef! Salt Peir during the Day...

Don't worry about Stolen tanks. In fact scuba gear is pretty safe on the island. Money, water, log books, flip flops candy we have had taken. AB is a stand up company. They should all include weights with tanks. Nitro and air are pretty much interchangeable on Bonaire. Dive Friemds is...

St. Martten Diving not really worth time or $$. They seem to cater to Cruise ship 35-40 min dives. But you are a short boat ride from Saba. Awesome diving!!!

I agree with the Proper tool for the dive comments. Also for the most part it doesn't cost any extra on Bonaire (this is not a common occurance at other locations).
