    Thanks, everybody for all the great input! I do have to say, I feel comfortable looking at it (I was diving further north, and went to see what the entry was like). It seems even easier than the entry at the area where all OW certification is done. My plan certainly is to take it really slow...

    How do you know when you and your buddy are ready to dive without a dive master or guide? We were certified four years ago, but dive off the coast of California and have only maybe 25 dives max. We'd like to just walk in at Point Lobos, and I honestly don't know if I should feel uncomfortable...

    I've been certified for three years now, have collected gear piece by piece, and am moving pretty slowly on gaining experience. 'Tried to make a buddy out of my husband this weekend and that was... well, really pretty disasterous. We got out to the buoy, and he wanted no part of going under :(...
