Deep Sea Detectives on at 8pm EST - History Channel

I don't like the twist the hosts put on the show. They try to make it seem like they have discovered something new about the wrecks. From what I can tell, they are just relaying old data. The show would be better without their input....just my 2cents.

A kilt...the perfect post dive accessory!

The Utilikilt is a real kilt. It is just made with modern American fabrics instead of wool. This is so you can wash it like jeans and not worry about getting it too dirty. Originally I was going to purchase a traditional Scottish kilt but you are correct.....EXPENSIVE! I would worry...

A kilt...the perfect post dive accessory!

I have a olive drab Utilikilt and have worn it to parties, to clubs, and even to a wedding (per the brides request). So far not accidental flashing!;) It does take a great deal of planning, math, & designing to get it lay properly. Thus the price. *Levis Strous just got rid of 2000...

A kilt...the perfect post dive accessory!

Yup. Utilikilts are expensive. They are hand made in America and will last a lifetime with proper care. A traditional wool one will run you $500 or more! I searched the www all over for a $20.00 kilt...there is not one. But for a cheaper yet decent made kilt check out www.sportkilt.com ...

A kilt...the perfect post dive accessory!

    1. No. I don’t think I am Scottish because I wear a kilt. I am an American and the Utilikilt is an American garment. There are other “skirt” like garments throughout the world such as sarongs, caftans, kimono, and similar garments. 2. What worn beneath my kilt? Nothing…it all works perfectly...

I just checked. Diving For Life ends Saturday 09/27/03. Maybe we can get a trip report from someone when they return.

    Pelican "Nemo"

I have two Nemo 4C's. One works perfect and the other has a gremlin in there somewhere. Sometimes it works, sometimes, not. Anyone else have this problem? Pelican has excellent customer service and advised to send it back and they will replace it. I chose the 4C because you get a bit...

Who still eats Shark Fin ?

No, I do not eat shark fin and avoid places that serve it. Yes, I am sure there are foods that I love that slaughtered in a brutal way. But, it is just wrong the way they harvest the fins and waste the rest.

Due to the current high water, the South Carolina Departments of Wildlife and Fisheries are advising hunters, fishermen, hikers, and golfers to take extra precautions and keep alert for alligators in all coastal and low lying areas, and in and around coastal waters and reservoirs in South...

    underwater suicide From undercurrent

As a former police officer I hat to say it but this investigation is already heading down hill. The article from the Prague paper notes:......the first question when the police boarded the ship was, "How can there be eight men here with no women?" They have started the investigation off on...

You can't go wrong with Akona. If you do decide to get something else make sure you get one with back pack type straps. Believe me on this.

First "save" as DM. Sort of...

That is a full out save...not a "sort of". Good job. I hope she bought you a beer and a steak for that one. Who knows what would have happened if she was with a less experienced diver.

    Benefit for Leukemia patient planned.

www.scuba.com is reporting that Lt. Glemboski hit the 24 hour mark and all was well. They are still taking donations for those interested. The Fraternal Order of Police, which collected pledges for the dive, is still accepting donations for the Alyssa Ennis Fund. For more information...

    Is Instructor Work Seasonal?

Instructor work is not seasonal if you are associated with appropriate dive center. Even in North Carolina we offer classes the entire year. If we can do it in N.C. you can be sure they are doing it in the Carribean. You will find that most instructor certifying agencies have placement...

Mosquito & PC Interface not talking to each other...

It is hard to tell if I am getting good contact. I am going to try my buddy's and a new battery. I have not changed it in a year. Thanks for the advice.

Mosquito & PC Interface not talking to each other...

It is a suunto interface and it is plugged into the back of an older model Compaq at the "9 pin" port(?). It is a standard PC, not a laptop.
