Looking for 2 spots - July 19, Morehead City

Hm, anybody want to go out Saturday the 19th with Atlantic Beach Diving Services? Capt Amy has availability, but needs at least 6 to go out. I've got 2, anybody else willing?

Looking for 2 spots - July 19, Morehead City

Yeah I tried booking with the shops directly. I'm on the standby list at Olympus at least. I don't think I tried the shop you mentioned, I'll give them a shot. :) Thanks! :)

Looking for 2 spots - July 19, Morehead City

A friend and I will be in the Morehead City area (doing the 17th/18th QAR dive) and was looking to do a full day trip on that Saturday, the 19th. It seems all of the shops I know of in town are pretty much booked but I know that there is at least one dive club/group that booked with Olympus...

    Xr-2

Yes, you can buy a replacement wrist boot. If I remember correctly there are a couple of pins to pull out before the puck is able to pop out. Scubatoys has them (and stocked them when I needed one a year or so ago) for somewhere around 15 bucks I think.

New Balanced Diaphragm First Stages Yoke or DIN - $60 Each

I sent her a PM asking her the same question last week. She said that due to price increases from the manufacturer she will not be getting in anymore enviro kits for these.

The new MiFlex Braided hoses - Not so much...

Well, if you're asking if the hose would still work with tight bends in it... the answer is yes. The manufacturer says you can tie it in knots and the air would still flow... so I tried it and it indeed does. So, possible? Yes. Feasible? I don't use a long hose so I wouldn't know. :)

How do I avoid hose pull?

I can second (or third or fourth or whatever we're up to) the miflex hose recommendation. If none of the suggestions that don't include spending money on new hoses works, it's definitely worth a shot. I love them. Noticeably lighter (not that hoses are horribly heavy) but the best part about...

    table rock water level

I was there last weekend and the vis ranged from 5 to 15. Water temp at 80 ffw was 44 degrees and was about the same at the surface. Looks like it flooded pretty bad this week though, at least by the dam. I would guess the vis isn't too great right now.

    FS: Oly SP-350 Package

I have an SP-350 that has been giving me a "zoom error" on startup and decided to upgrade rather than have it repaired. I have contacted Olympus and there is a flat-rate repair charge of $134 for the camera. I am sure a local camera shop can probably fix it for cheaper. That being said, I am...

    Aeris XR2 battery change--need help

Edit: Here's Aeris' manual on analog instruments. Page 2 has the info you're looking for: http://www.diveaeris.com/PDF/12-7008-r04.pdf Also wanted to suggest that since you will be diving for several weeks, you might want to get a spare battery in addition to the one you change out just in...

Not that I know of. Last I heard they were working on it but no release as of yet.
