Yeah, that is what I was referring to. Sure wish someone more responsible had control over that area. It is a shame to see those beautiful springs surrounded by so much garbage.
While everyone on here is out diving, I sneak into their homes and steal some goods and then I sell them to various pawn shops.
When they all return home, I go diving.
Genius.
I am just getting back into diving (got to get my wife cert and our gear). I was wondering, I haven't been diving since I lived in Florida. I can't really travel far from home, so aside from Lake Martin, where are some good dive spots within 2 hours of driving distance from Montgomery?
Forgive this if it is too off topic....
If someone gets bent but doesnt go to a deco chamber...will the body eventually deco on its own? Or will they continue in pain until they make it to a chamber?
I agree wholeheartedly, BUT it also shows the DM's what an incredible responsibility they have to those in their care. They may expect one thing from their students...but it is important to remember the students view them as the master jedi.
I always try to look like I know what I am doing. I view diving as a professional hobby and not something to be taken lightly.
I am by no means experienced and have seen and heard of many divers who were VERY experienced ending up dead for various reasons. I took what my instructors said...
Wow. I live in Bama and had no idea it was worth diving in Martin. Someone should draw a map and label the dive locations.....
Curious...my wife is rather skittish around animal life....are there any potentially dangerous things lurking in Martin? (I am used to Florida where when you see a...
I dont have any of my scuba gear yet. I was trying to be well-informed before making the purchase. I guess I will just cross that bridge when I come to it.
Another question: Will any harness work with any backplate? Are all backplates created equal? (Looks like a piece of metal to me...)
If I put together a simple rig....I am 5'8" and about 180lbs (but trying to slim down :D) I will only be diving in and around Alabama, Florida, and the Caribbean. Would I need weights?
Also, are their covers for the metal wings? Or do most of you just leave the metal exposed?
I am getting back into diving. I got certified, went on two dives and then sold my gear for various reasons. Now my wife and I want to dive together. I am looking into a wing and backplate setup in place of a traditional bc. But I am completely clueless. I mean, TOTALLY clueless.
I need step...
No, not in Alabama or Florida!
I figured cold meant "REALLY COLD"...just making sure.
So I guess I dont need to spend the extra money on that feature. Thanks!
I am reading about first stages...and noticing you can get them so they handle cold water well. How cold are we talking?
I would only be diving in Springs around Florida...is that cold? Or are we talking, freezing cold?
In what way does having a cold water first stage benefit you?
