Complete Subal Nikon D200 Setup - Excellent Condition - Everything Needed!

So far there has not been much interest in the complete system. I am about ready to break up the system and sell it on the big auction site to get more exposure. If anyone here is interested, let me know in the next day before I list the pieces.

Complete Subal Nikon D200 Setup - Excellent Condition - Everything Needed!

I have not been able to go on any dive trips for the last few years and I have decided to sell my underwater camera gear. This is a complete system with everything you need to take fantastic underwater pictures with full TTL using dual YS-110 stobes. The system looks and functions like new. It...

    sp-350

Not exactly.. Inon (in Japan) has decided to go direct to customers vs selling through the middle man which was Inon America. Inon America has a statement on their site explaining all this. Still though.. I would be hard pressed to support Inon as a product if they didn't have a US distributor...

    Nikon D90 Underwater Shots?

Depending on when you will need your housing, I would hold off and let some of the new housings come out for the D90. I know the Patima one will be CNC machined from aluminum and be comparable to the Ikelite price. If Sea & Sea comes out with a RDX version then the price will be comparable to...

    Why Nikon?

I used to have Canon DSLR cameras before I started using DSLR underwater. My first DSLR I set up for underwater was the Nikon D200 and the reason was ergonomics of the controls, extensive feature settings and adjustability, and finally just the quality of the camera. After buying the Nikon...

    Choosing Settings For G10??

Using manual mode will give you much better results because you have both the aperture and shutter speed that you can use to get the exposure and effects right.. With a 1/60, there are going to be several shots that will be hard to get except for wide angle and even then if you want to capture...

    Nikon D90 Underwater Shots?

Here's my point I am trying to make.. The RDX-D60 and RDX-450D have been announced for quite a while and shown at DEMA. They are just now becoming available. When asked, Sea & Sea has said repeatedly that they do not have anything to announce on the D90 yet which seems odd if they were going to...

    Nikon D90 Underwater Shots?

And where did you hear this? I have only heard speculation.. but nothing from Sea & Sea and if it was Feb 09, I would think it would have been announced by now.

    S&S YS110a on slave

So it sounds like you are using the strobes in "Manual" mode with the 110a being synced to the camera via a hard wire and the YS90 is being synced with just the slave sensor. You could (and I would) use the Sea & Sea Y-Sync cable and do both of them that way. It would be much more reliable...

    S&S YS110a on slave

Okay.. maybe I am not getting what you are saying.. The MDX-300 has two bulkheads on it (one for TTL and one for sync only). Are you using the TTL bulkhead or the other one? Why not just fire them both from cable by using the Sea & Sea Y-sync cable? Maybe more information about what you have...

Nikon D300, does anyone here shoot this?

Well.. a 18-70 is not bad for a light lens and it gives you some zooming. Its pretty inexpensive, or for a bit more you could go with the 18-200mm but the lens is a bit heavier also. The 18-200 is a good all around lens though for most situations. There are of course more expensive better...

Nikon D300, does anyone here shoot this?

I would go with the 60mm AF-S macro lens. Fast focus, you can do 1:1 shots as well as fish portraits. The port for it will be pretty inexpensive also so would be a good first lens.

    S&S YS110a on slave

The problem is because the YS-110 and YS-110a are designed to be used with a fiber optic sync cord more so than just reflected light. They have their sensor deeper in there to allow for the fiber to be "Plugged in" where the YS-90 has the sensor out near the surface of the strobe and the fiber...

Nikon D300, does anyone here shoot this?

I shoot the D300 with Subal housing.. I really like the camera.. The only thing that threw me was it defaults to ISO 200 where my D200 was ISO 100 for my underwater shots so my settings are off from what I used with my D200. Once I realized this, switching to L.1 is the same as the ISO 100 and...

    What lens?

Do you have some insight on the Sea & Sea because I haven't heard anything and although I am sure at some point they will announce I haven't seen one yet?

G9 in Action in the Bahamas, Sept. 08

I didn't have a bad 8000G (well no worse than any others that is :D) and never shoot auto. With respect to noise, even your pictures suffer from significant noise that is noticable even in their reduced size. Its not your fault, it is just the camera. As far as photoshop as a replacement for...
