Having dived with Beqa last October, I'm not at all surprised by their attitude. When we talked to the manager about how the dive guides' buoyancy issues and continually grabbing rocks and stuff from the bottom, his response was, "I'm not a diver, so I don't know". When a few of our party...
I've read some threads regarding the aqua lung rogue and it's light travel capabilities. Something I hadn't seen were comments on the changability of the air cell which would, theoretically, make it capable for use in colder water, assuming use of a weight belt or harness to become more negative...
Considering the aqua lung rogue. Anyone have thoughts positive or negative? Nice and light. Modular so you can swap out certain elements as you want such as the wing/ bladder, cummerbund to switch it from a travel bc to a colder water bc.
Needing new 7mm, thinking thermaxx (good price bit does it keep you warm? ) or aqualock (pricey but good reputation), or bare reactive. Choosing bare or henderson because of range of sizes. Also considering semi dry. Thoughts? Reviews? Thanks !
Hi All,
I'm thinking of splurging for a 7-7.5 ml semi-dry wetsuit. The Scubapro nova scotia looks good as does the pinnacle polar 8. Any thoughts on these or others? Henderson vs. Scubapro? Help!
So it looks like the Maldives Aggressor is no more. So looking at the palau aggressor. Have seen couple of reviews that basically the food is good, the boat clean but the service and attitude of dive master and capt. sucked. Are there any other opinions/reviews/thoughts to share?
And thanks...
Thanks for your reply Shasta man. I really thought I'd get more replies to this. The travel agent sponsoring this has been 4 other aggressor trips before and had no but what me was a lack of knowledge on the Maldives history. Says she's never heard of any problems. Seems hard to miss to me...
Hello All,
I may have a chance for a spot on the Maldives Aggressor next year. It seems like a really good price but sometimes you get what you pay for. Doing some research I've found the operation to be a complete mess as of a year or two ago. Does anyone have updated information on it.
Thanks!
I have an sms 100 and I'm not happy with the fit; it's too big. It seemed like the large would be ok in the shop but in the water it doesn't work for me. I've been told that the wing/back pad are the same regardless of the size. Can I switch out the harness to a smaller one for a better fit...
I switched from a neoprene drysuit (was warm but suit was too small) to a Hollis trilam believing it would be more comfortable. It is, but I'm freezing even with a Bare undergarment with polar fleece and patagonia underwear. I've been looking at a number of options including the Fourth element...
What you used to wear is what I'm doing now and I'm cold in the mid 50's. I must have a really low tolerance for cold. I'll look into 4th Element.
Thanks!
Some background: I started drysuit diving a neoprene by Mares ( I don't remember the model) about 8 years ago or so. Mostly liked it, kept me warm enough but was bulky and the shoulders didn't fit me all that well--I have broad shoulders for a woman, and I didn't like the hard boot, so after a...
Like others here I enjoy diving with my buddies and I often take my pony bottle diving with others anyway. But really enjoy the challenge of solo when others aren't available. Catalina Island is where I did my first solo dives a year and a half or so-still memorable. You always have those...
