Visiting Oahu for the first time, looking for some advice

Eh! This is awesome Jim! Thanks for sharing. Starboard wheelhouse side is fully open now. Makes for great swimthrough. When is the last time you logged a dive on her? Happy to take you back out if you find yourself on Oahu again. LMK!

Visiting Oahu for the first time, looking for some advice

Things are a bit spread out and different operators can get you to certain spots on the island. Most town side operators like us hit the wrecks of the Sea Tiger/YO 257 and shallow reefs accessible from Kewalo Basin Harbor. SE side you would be good to book with Aarons Dive Shop (check they are...

    Question Box Jellyfish ??

15,000 dive and counting on Oahu and never really had an issue. Think I can remember 3 times where them have hit my hand or lip (that one hurt) but honestly no worse than a bee sting. We see more people get hit on their ankles at the beach as the dead ones wash up on shore than out at diving depths.

Travel thoughts for those coming to Hawaii

I can second what Matt says...... 3 weeks ahead of time for weekends and 2+ weeks ahead of time if it's during the week. Obviously single divers or groups of 2 may have a better chance at sliding in a spot here or there but please do plan ahead. Everyone doing their best to keep their Aloha up...
