AGA FULL FACE SCUBA DIVE MASK WITH HOSE USED BUT IN GOOD CONDITION
New lens has the protective cover on it so no scratches on it.
This is a positive Pressure Grey Rubber Dive Mask. The regulator was serviced before listing and works Perfect. All in good diving condition. Comes with hose and...
Even DAN mentions the problem some divers have with slower breathing rates on EANx http://www.diversalertnetwork.org/medical/articles/article.asp?articleid=35
"CO2 Retention
Why would carbon dioxide (CO2) retention become a problem at increased gas densities? There have been many studies...
The high partial pressures of O2 and depth tends to reduce one's breathing rate. One way to avoid the buildup and retention of CO2 is to consciously regulate your breathing to a constant rate: fully inhalling for 6 secs holding for 2 secs then fully exhalling for 6 secs and repeating each breath...
Check with your LDS. Buying stuff like regs and other life support equipment sight unseen online isn't the smartest thing in the world especially if you don't know how to service the equipment yourself or know what to look for as far as any potential problems. While rare, people sometimes even...
I also agree with the question about being Enriched Air Nitrox certified. You ask a lot of good questions which make it sound as if you are not certified for EANx use. Almost all your questions would be answed if you had taken such an EANx certification class. Its a valuable class and I highly...
My suggestion is to try out both types of fins and see which you prefer. Everyone is different and just because one diver prefers paddle fins over split fins (or vice versa) doesn't mean you'll find that true for you. Do your own test and evaluation if you can.
Phil, thanks for the info. I agree it looks like the first sign of a break through with the old guard holdouts against online sales models for the LDS. I can't believe that these idiotic practices remain in place in the 21st Century and that the LDS can't re-evaluate and modify their own...
You can legally dive naked at Hippy Hollow in Austin just up from Windy Point at Lake Travis...just remember the fish are trained to feed off of Vienna Sausages and Hotdogs.
Its a common misunderstanding to equate sport with competition. According to Webster's
Main Entry: sport
Function: noun
1 a : a source of diversion : RECREATION b : sexual play c (1) : physical activity engaged in for pleasure (2) : a particular activity (as an athletic game) so engaged in...
Congrats on the new equipment purchase. I also went with the Scubapro Knighthawk and could not be happier. I went with the Scubapro MK17/S550 with R390 Octo...yep I can't stand the Air 2 or other similar devices. I'm very happy with what I have.
I've run across a number of local area dive shops here in San Antonio, San Marcos and Austin that are great and I would have little trouble recommending them. One in San Antonio (Dive World) recently screwed with me on a regulator purchase and not only tried to charge me full price on the reg...
James,
Scubapro makes the MK17 diaphram 1st stage...which is enviromentally sealed. Along with the S555 or G250 or even S600 you would have one of the best regulators around.
turbinetech2 thanks a bunch. It sounds like what Aeris told me...it just seemed a bit confusing in the manual. My Atmos 2 sealed fine and no rocking or moving of the clear cover at all. I just wasn't sure if the clear cover was just supposed to rest on the battery compartment or snap into place...
I have a new Atmos 2 and was checking it out and opened the battery compartment. Now I'm not sure if it is replaced like it should be and am concerned. I put the o-ring around the clear cover but could not get the clear cover to snap into place - it sort of rides in top of the battery...
