    Hypercapnia

I have started deeper diving (below 130) and I have learned that I suffer from hypercapnia. Retention of CO2. Some of my instructional books say that some people are just more prone to CO2 retention. Is there a way to find out, a test that would indicate that I have this build-up moreso than...

    MkV extreem vs Signature

I am considering purchasing one of your wings in the near future. My question is: what is the difference between the MKV extreem and the Signature? All I can see is the the extreem has heavier cloth. Is it more puncture resistant than the siganture? Also, I dive with steel 120's and steel...

D200 Housing, Sea and Sea or Ikelite

Okay, I am buying a housing for my D200, but I don't know which one would be best. The Ikelite is $1,500 and the Sea and Sea is over $2,500. I can get the Sea and Sea at wholesale prices, but would have to pay full price for the Ikelite. Does anyone have hands on experiance with BOTH of these...

FS: Devil's Eye laminated maps, manuals.

I would post this in the classified, but being the highly specialized and technical nature of the item, I thought this would be the best place. 2 laminated maps (map 1, and map 2) of the extended Devil's eye cave system at Ginnie Springs. NSS Cavern Diving Manual Cave Diving...

One more thing to double check!

I don't know if this qualifies as an incedent, so I will post it here. While on a dive trip to south Florida, I jumped into the water with all my gear (steel tanks, BP and pony) and begain my decent to the bottom. The first thing I do is grab my BC inflator so I can control my decent. When I...

    Nikon Vs Sigma Lens

I just wanted to hear some oppinions on the two lenses. I just purchased a large Nikon set up, and was tolded that the Nikon 28-200 lens I ordered was no longer available and they switched a sigma 28-300 in its place. It has been a long time sence I have updated my camera gear, and remember that...

    Exposure Suits for training

Thinking about doing the cave coarses this winter in Florida. I know that a dry suit is optimal, but will a 5/7 hood and gloves work to get through the training? I don't have a dry suit yet, and the costs of training, lodging and other equipment is mounting rather fast. Thanks, Mr. B

    Anyone use a 71cf HP?

I'm tired of lugging around a set of 120's just to do some recreational training dives, so I am looking at some new tanks. I know the norm is Al 80's. I just thought an even smaller, streamlined HP 71 might be the ticket. It seems I always have lots of air in my tanks left over, but not enough...
