It's a Spiro. US Divers had them in their catalog in the mid 80's for a couple of years and I believed they called it Sport if I can remember correctly. We got a big batch of them in at our dive shop in the early 90's on a one time deal and sold them for $99. It was called Club at that time.

I've seen both tanks you are talking about and yes they were both US Divers tanks manufactured by Pressed Steel. I don't know the answer as to why they decreased the psi rating from 2600 to 2250, but I'm going to guess that might have something to due with the weight/buoyancy issue. Only in 1954...
