Japanese open fire on Sea Shepherd crew

Your links refer to the Yushin Maru No. 2, not the Nisshin Maru.

Japanese open fire on Sea Shepherd crew

Any links? I've never heard of Sea Shepherd boarding the Nisshin Maru in particular. And regarding the arrests of the Farley Mowat crew, there are no grounds for sentencing them seeing as the Farley Mowat is a foreign-registered ship that was in international waters, undergoing no commercial or...

Because of what he says? I prefer to judge them by their actions, which have had an overall positive effect.

Japanese open fire on Sea Shepherd crew

Congrats Hearn, you've just dealt the killing blow to your own industry. Now the EU ban on seal products is practically inevitable. Kidnapping Europeans illegally will not be looked kindly upon. The Farley Mowat was outside the 12-mile territorial limit and while it was within the 200-mile...

    The Canadian Seal Slaughter

It's interesting how you act serious about the deaths of 4 people while still displaying that signature of yours portraying the killing of over 300,000 harp seals as a joke. Things like that keep me from taking you seriously.

Sea Shepherd condemned by International Whaling Commission.

Surprise, surprise; I didn't make it up. Here's the source: Whale Sanctuaries - IWC website

Sea Shepherd condemned by International Whaling Commission.

What a typical response from the whaling lobby. Speaking out against whaling is not racist. The colour of the whalers' skin doesn't give them the moral or legal right to torture thousands of whales to death. They are doing it in the IWC-designated Southern Ocean Whale Sanctuary and thus it is...

Sea Shepherd condemned by International Whaling Commission.

I read about that event in Sea Shepherd: My Fight for the Whales and Seals. It was written by Paul Watson in the 80's, which is probably before the Sea Shepherd website was created. He described how he rammed the Sierra. He wrote that he later heard of the bombing, but never implied that he was...

And for the record, Sea Shepherd never used explosives to sink a ship.

In the United States, police officers are authorized to tase someone who doesn't comply with their orders. Sea Shepherd's actions are not physically harmful.

PETA is very off-topic, reefraff. If you have anything intelligent to contribute, perhaps it'd be better to post that instead of your usual spam.

    Sentient dolphin

Of course no life form is a total "angel", but neither are there total "demons". It's all too apparent in humans.

The IWC would like Sea Shepherd stopped? I'd like to see what they'll do. They condemned Japan for its illegal whaling a year earlier, and stopped there. All they're about is flowery language. At least it's a sign that Sea Shepherd's actions are effective.

Whale harpooned in front of whale-watching tourists

I was talking about industrial whaling. I don't use perfume (I prefer staying clean) and I am also vegetarian. I know very well that we humans aren't all that different from each other, but if no-one criticises, we won't move forward. Tradition in itself doesn't justify anything. (E.g., the...

Whale harpooned in front of whale-watching tourists

First of all, industrial whaling (the kind of whaling the article depicts) is purely commercial and was started in Japan by Jura Oka 1898. After World War II, as part of the Marshall Plan, the USA built the six-ship whaling fleet (the largest whaling fleet in existence today) that Japan uses...

Whale harpooned in front of whale-watching tourists

I can hardly believe the audacity these killers must have to protest against witnesses of their crime and act like they're the victims.

Some video I took of Dolphin diving the Red Sea

Great video! I'm going diving in the Red Sea (Egypt) this summer. You can also embed the video like this: cQxrOf2lOis E.g. that video's URL was http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cQxrOf2lOis Take that red part at the end, and put it between [yt] and [yt] (the last yt has a / in front of the y)

Rescued baby killer whale - political storm

Sea World probably has NO plans to EVER release that orca and it's a for profit business. The orca should be kept in a rehabilitation center where he/she won't be forced to do circus tricks for the rest of his/her life.
