    Rescue Pocket Mask?

I never leave home without it or dive without one....getting the victim on the boat or shore is important...but if you are well trained and practice in water rescue rescusitation often...and I do mean often...it may just help a diver someday. Just because you do it a couple of times during a...

The right way to get certified

I am not a big fan of the on-line courses because I really like to get to know the students while in the classroom. I like to certify students in a "mud puddle" so they are prepared for the unknown more so than in 100' of visibility in Coz....but again, to each her own...

Kansas man dies diving Bonne Terre

Bonne Terre Mine entertains thousands of divers every year. It is still unclear why this diver died at the Mines. But no matter how deep, how clear the viz, how many C-Cards we hold or how many dives we have under our mask, treating a dive as simple or routine is a recipe for disaster. I dove...

    I float like a cork.

I agree with BabyDuck! The more you dive, the more relaxed you become, the less weight you will have to use. If 30 pounds is good for you right now then so be it...it is a miserable dive if you constantly have to fight to stay down because you do not have enough weights! Good Luck! Dive Safe...
