DSS and Oxycheq Pics side by side

Acteg, I have a spare plate lying around and thought of getting a travel wing. Are there 11 inch centre holes on the DSS 17 Torus wing for mounting using sex bolts? Can't tell on your pictures. Thanks.

    18lb wing with STA?

I have the 18lb Mach V. I used to use the DR STA with it no problems at all. But after a few dives, i realised that it was completely redundant as there is no tank roll at all even without using the sta (apparently the 4 little pods did a good job) so i do away with the sta. It saved me some...

    Warm Water Carryon

How about Tilos Eclipse (ECLIPSE [96147] :: Tilos, Inc The RMSP is $180, well within your budget. I dont know if the Mares Cruise Roller (http://www.scubatoys.com/store/detail.asp?PRODUCT_ID=Mares_Cruise_Roller_Dive_Bag) fits the "carry on" requirements but it sure is a good deal!

Dive caddy - airline carry on solution

Guys, for those of you who are using the Dive Caddy, I'm just curious but how heavy is the bag when fully loaded with your stuff? Im already using the lightest equipment i can find and yet everything weighs around 9kg when the airline carry on restriction is only 7kg?

    Andaman Closures?

I just got back from Similans LOB. There are still plenty of sites to dive however the condition is not too good...plenty of dead corals around. Situation at Koh Bon is slightly better though.

    Optimal Travel Back Plate?

I used a crotch strap as I found that the rig will ride up on my body if I don't. I personally don't like the idea of wearing weight belt so I used 2 cam band weight pockets. 2 extra weight pockets on your harness is fine too. It's really a personal preference.

I am heading over to Similans on the 28th for a LOB. My dive operator (South Siam Divers) has reassured me that there will be no change of LOB plans.

when do you remove a wing from a backplate?

I have the Mach V as well. I undo the cam straps and the sex bolts every time. I don't see any reason why un threading the cam straps will damage the slots ofMach V

Wanting to get first backplate and wing.

Were there complaints around? I have had mine and its the sleekest wing i've ever own and i certainly have no complains about them at all!

    Which BP/W Setup?

The package at ST is a real deal IMHO. I am using an Oxycheq wing and its extremely compact and packs real small! And of cos, no STA needed.
