I got this from the Dive Pros in an email and I thought I would pass it along:
Join the Dive Pros at Park West on the Bay side this Saturday from 8 to noon for a Beach Clean-up. The Beach Clean-up is being held in preparation for the placing of a new Snorkeling Reef at the site.
The Dive Pros...
Have you checked with Dive Pros or MBT Divers. I don't know the name of the hydro place they use, but it might be worth a shot.

Almost forgot. The route I am talking about (Culpeper) will take 25 minutes to get there and about 15 to get back. To me Cotton landing didn't save me time and I almost capsized about ten times getting there because of the limbs.
I prefer to go to CulPepper Landing. There is less limbs across the creek this way. From Culpepper landing go right (upstream). Holmes creek will fork two times. Each time go left. The second left is the spring run for Cypress springs. It is usually crystal clear. Cypress Spring can get blown...
I took cavern and intro with Rob Neto (Dive-aholic) in the previos post. Geat instructor and I learned alot. Although I must say he is a bit of a crack dealer (of sorts) Once he gets you under the power of the dark side you are a goner! :D In fact I will be feeding my addiction this weekend...
Springfest is not a structured event. It is just a bunch of Scubaboarders who decend upon Vortex to get in a bunch of dives. However many days you want to dive is up to you. I hope to do three to four days.
Here is MBT Divers website that has some of the local dives:

They have this page dedicated to just the Oriskany:

Vortex Springs is a big training ground for the surrounding area. This is especially true around this time of year when the Gulf isn't cooperating. I would imagine there will be plenty of folks training and fun diving there.
I also like to go straight down at the cut through to where the rocks and sand meet. I then turn right following this line until I hit my predetermined turn pressure. I then ascend to about 35 feet and head back to the cut through. Hey, i'm a cool kid what can I say ;).
1) There are tank rentals available through Vortex Springs Dive Shop.
2) There are cabins to rent or campsites to stay at.
3) Diving at Vortex you are looking at 60 feet fresh water (avoiding the cave). The water temps in freshwater are 68* so a wetsuit (at least 3mm) would be recommended. We...
Unfortunately there are a few on SB that we have to deal with from time to time, you Idoc are one. I am not really sure why you are trolling in Deep Dixie (since you are not from this geographical area), but feel free to return to your normal forum.
I have dove with Gary's Gulf Divers on many...
