frankly I wouldn't dive in Malibu with the experience you have. Malibu tend to have a lot of currents , riptide and strong surf in the summer , you really need to be very fit and really understand the unique south cal. waters for safe shore diving. I would recommend you look at boat diving...

I dove with AAA diving last week. Alex is a good guy, the boat is big and you will never feel rush as he only does one trip a day. He is a little more expensive, but I feel that it is worth the extra expense as you don't come out disappointed as I have felt with other, cheaper dive companies...

Well, being on the market for dry-suit, I am sure glad I read this thread. While it's great that dive tank resolved all the issues, it's a pity that it does take people complaining on a public board to get things finally resolved.
