i recently upgraded my computer,
the choices were between Viper, i470TC or Teric
I ended up biting the bullet and getting the teric, mostly because i was diving in a place where i didnt have to pay VAT and it was discounted at the LDS. and am very glad i did, one of the biggest pluses that i...

I need to upgrade my computer soonish and was looking at options, I have had only Suunto zoops for the last 15 years and they have worked well as a basic DC, I'm thinking it's time to splurge a bit on something a bit more modern,

Hi,
I worked on Spoilsport and I would say that if you get good weather/winds the sites can be some of the most spectacular you will ever dive in your life. Im diving all over the world now and just got back from Bonaire but my time with Mike Ball is still the standout dives of my lifetime. My...
well i had a french guy who did a 35/50min first dive.. 42/45m second and 46/35 third dive.. his dives got cancelled for the rest of the day
your dive profiles whould have to be pretty screwy to have your dives canceled.. but its the divemasters duty to look out for bad diving profiles...
and on most boats i have been on there is no depth limit... however if the divemaster sees you doing crazy deep reverse profiles you might be asked to sit out a dive or 2 (which usually means a 18+ hour sit out)
remember your own training will determine your depth..
nope...

night diving requires 2 light sources...

anyone got any suggestions about diving in the NL and EU?
sending all my gear there and will be there for 12 months plus..
any info would be greatly appreciated
oops sorry.. i might have been really drunk when i typed that.. it makes no sense..
umm as for cooktown it doesnt have the facilities a large dive operation needs to run out of cooktown.. and it wouldnt have the divers needed for a small operation out of cooktown. cooktown is lose lose for divers
be careful when it comes to octos, sometimes if the second stage is overbalanced then you need an overbalanced octo.
a reg that comes to mind is the legend lx which needs an lx or legend lx octo and not an abs octo.. otherwise it could 'leak' at depth
if you were going to go with a completly...

from my experience diving a livaboard in the GBR is alot easier then most diving you have ever done, its very heavily regulated.. and is like a beginner park when it comes to diving.
there are a very limited amount of stressful dives.. and 99% of dives i would consider AOW or easier.. most can...
