Beaver Lake in Arkansas is pretty good, as well. Although I do prefer Table Rock. If you get the itch for low vis, Stockton Lake would scratch it nicely. DW

Not at all. I can switch hands or clip off to a chest d ring as easily as using a hard handle. DW

I prefer a soft handle made of bungee cord, but have never tried it with a cordless light. DW

The better spots that I am aware of are a few hours South of KC. Table Rock Lake in Missouri, and Beaver Lake in Arkansas. There is Bonne Terre mine, if you don't mind spending too much money and don't mind not having a cutting device or light with you. DW

I have quite a few li-ion batteries. Knock on wood, have not had problems so far. I keep them in plastic cases when not in use. Do you hunt alone? If so, you could always mount a couple on a helmet. DW

Glad it all worked out fine. I carry a small mirror on every dive, and has come in handy a couple of times. Gas availability is one big advantage to BM doubles, in my opinion. DW

I have heard that at every lake I have dove. Biggest cat I have personally seen is 5 feet long. DW

You might take a look at Palladium boots. They are built like Converse All Stars, but with a heavier lug sole. The two pair that I have are canvas upper, but they have other (more expensive) options. I think I gave $70 a pair, so more than I usually pay for footwear, but they appear to be good...

That is, in my opinion, the biggest hazard when diving the lake closest to me. My first entanglement was when I was still freediving in the 90's. DW

Agreed, they are monsters. The biggest set I have had were Mid Pressure 120's. Great tanks, but damn. DW
