Thanks! But everything got canceled ....not on the widget... and not sure why or how. I have used garmin connect and garmin express..logs are there... but why not on the descent mk2 ??? Could not find a setting to prevent deleting them
Possibly it happened during some synch operation...
I just got a beautiful Garmin Descent MK2. However I am trying to keep the divelog on the computer itself.
It seems all activity is updated automatically to the smartphone and history data is deleted!
Not sure how to make it stay on the computer activity list.
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks...
I have use extensively Suunto, Aqualung and Ratio. Ratio is the only one that does not lock out. Both Suunto and Aqualung will lock. Suunto will go crazy if you pass 1.6 PPO. Most other rec computers will lock out instead of giving a warning. Never understood the reasoning behind it.
Interesting. All this crazy workarounds because Olympus and most other similar types of cameras will focus on preset modes rather than giving real control to the photographers. Unfortunately it seems that people that design the firmware on the cameras have no idea what is needed underwater...
NICE! Very similar setup with only difference the cmc macro lens and the 4" semidome from Nauticam which I use for both the 12-50mm and 60mm. Very versatile the 12-50mm but a bit soft so i keep it at its sweet spot f/8. I also prefer the 3.5" dome for the 8mm as it is smaller and with some...
definitely not as easy to use or stable unfortunately as it is not symmetrical. I hardly use mine unless I need be super compact and use 2 strobes with no arms...
Another interesting option is the wide angle corrector to be used over the 30mm mcro lens.
It allows both Macro and wide angle in the same dive. Quality is supposed to be super but I have not found reviews yet.
Macro to Wide Angle Lens 1 (MWL-1) ~150 deg. FOV with Full Frame 60mm Macro Lens
I have had the TG3 for a while and complained to Olympus as well but as you see with TG5 they still did not get the message.
It is the stupidest of things not having a manual or shutter speed setting. Clearly who makes the product does not do much scuba photography.
The macro it does is very...
The Olympus TG3 and TG4 unfortunately do not have a shutter speed option. So it automatically selects a shutter speed that is often less than optimal. One way to mitigate this is to use a strong video to mitigate this problem pushing its sensor to "see" more light. Having said that a strobe...
HI!
I have various macro lenses and recently I purchased the Panasonic 30mm lens to get more FOV flexibility (the 60mm is sometimes to extreme at almost 150mm behind a flat port.
I also have the inon H100 set-up for wide angle on a compact.
I do not have the dome for the Inon H100 but I...
usually 90% of the time in A mode and some microscope mode...
I realized I had most shots in SPOT mode setting (I use that on my large system).
Probably by setting to the larger Exposure sensing (larger) it might think more light coming in and use a faster speed...
I think this camera has a nice potential especially for macro. But I find it too limiting in the fact that it offers only manual setting on the Aperture mode and not on the Shutter speed. For underwater I would think it is more valuable to manually set the speed rather than the diaphragm...
is it really that simple? The focus distance changes with a diopter but not by zooming this lens. When I use the diopter i can get much closer to the subject improving a problem with the minimum focusing distance of this lens which is not so good.
I think the diopter changes the nodal point...
yes ... that is correct... and i just checked the 2 ports side by side with the 3.5" dome at least 1cm closer to the 8mm lens ... This makes it for reaching the subject closer (I scratched by getting too close) and probably a bit of the "flatter" perspective to the nodal point of the lens will...
Well I use the 4.33 much less because it is a lot bigger in my use and frankly compactness is why I went mirrorless in first place...the 3.5" focuses to glass and it gives less depth of field than the 4.33. It does not vignette on my setup at all. BTW it costs about 100
...less
