I have had at least 4 AL 80 tank boots split. Each after at least a year of use. And each one split while the tank was standing upright in storage, not being used for a while.

Imagine buying a missile silo to convert to a living quarters! :-) A Bed and Breakfast would generate some interest for a lot of folks just to say they had been there... the same reason we are heading out there for a dive. I used to work with a Ben Odom up in Prudhoe Bay... any relation?

Looking at Google Maps of the area, you can get a pretty good view of the silo 32.210441, -100.050988 - Google Maps Are there other silos in the area? If you zoom this map out a little you can see a lot of windmills in the windmill farm.

January 23 works for us, barring any University Scuba conflicts.

Hello H2odyssey! I have two EAS-2 systems with the handy bag. The straps that came with my units will not fasten the bag to a tank. There is no way to tighten the straps enough so that the unit will not slip off the external 80cf tank. Are there some new straps available that will not...

OK.. Thank you. That's what I was wondering. For the type of diving we do, the older models will probably be just fine, but I would rather get the latest and greatest eventually.

What is the difference between the two style Abysses? I have a Ruby and am looking at getting some newer regulators, and see several dealers offering both type of Abysses. There have been some posts about the 2005 (and earlier) models having a cracked piece of plastic on the second stage...
