Need info Cabo San Lucas and Baja region

Check out vista sea sport. They are out of Buena Vista BCS I believe. They pick up at all of the East Cape hotels. I dove with them a couple of times and always had good luck. We usually stay at Hotel Punta Colorada which is clean and close to Cabo Pulmo. It is kind of basic. If you are...

Need info Cabo San Lucas and Baja region

I totally agree with AbyssalPlains. Skip Cabo and head straight for the East Cape region of Baja. It is still really undeveloped. An hour and a half out of Cabo you are in a different time and place. I find that part of Baja to be amazing. The diving at Pulmo is not the Caribbean for vis...

Sea of Cortez: La Paz or Cabo San Lucas? Or...?

If you decide on Cabo Pulmo there are a few smaller hotels in the area. The vis in the Sea of Cortez any time of the year will probably be less than what you are used to. But it is a great place. Lots of maring life, no crowds, and friendly people. If you are looking for nightlife, big hotels...

    Cabo Pulmo in August?

I have been there from early May to middle to late July. It will be hot and might be windy in the afternoon. Diving should be great that time of year. There are places to stay in Pulmo but I do not know enough to suggest one over the other. I always stay at Van Wormer Resorts It is basic...

    Vail, Keystone, ???

The skiing at Breck and Keystone are similar with a slight edge to Breck. The town meaning bars, restaurants, and the like is probably better at Breck. It may be just me but the wind seems to be always blowing at Breck. Vail is more expensine but huge and the skiing is great. You could...

    Diving Baja - Advice?

I also suggest Cabo Pulmo. Incredible diving, laid back Baja pace of life. I have had great luck with Vista Sea Sports out of Pulmo. I would wait a few months until spring due to weather.

    Snorkeling Gear vs. Scuba Gear

I am a new diver getting certified this summer. So I have a few questions. I have mask, fins, and a snorkel that I have been snorkeling with. Is there a difference in performance, function, or features between gear that works for snorkeling and personal gear needed for scuba? Thanks for your...
