    ''Intro to Tech'' course

Touche Tek dive guy. There are many who are as good or better than gue or naui but fundamental skills do become different from groups and they don't always work on the same things. I's very happy tdi does this course but just think without standards that are the same there is differences and...

    ''Intro to Tech'' course

The thing I don't see is the formalization....Where is it? If all instructors who teach deco can teach this course what is it they teach exactly? And why do the TDI's of the world not have enough sense to name the course different then the Naui course of intro to tech? Agaig I m asking what...

    ''Intro to Tech'' course

So I don't think I see the difference in the course or maybe I do....GUE DIRF has their course establish and have for years that they have set rules and few who teach it. Naui has their course it is cut and dry and standards are standard gear configuration is standard and good. But TDI doesn't...

    Reg advice?

I see the new G250V regulator made from scubapro this week and with a mk17 first stage nice combination. Small firs stage, with the metal 2nd. Nice combo. My lds have them on sale cheap in Canada for $499. I like and watch many people with the Atomic regulator, but G250v is nice pricing and...

    Kitchener/Waterloo Divers

Hola, I live in Mexico and Toronto. I dived with Dan's Diving in Saint Cath, Ontario. They dive the Tiller Wreck this time of year with their boat. A friend of mine dived 2 wks ago w/them, visibility was 30msw + and the wreck was visibile from the surface almost, so give them a chance. Julio

    Signal for Entanglement

fingers crossed and moving wrist back and forth in figure eight motion is how we do this with light flashing up and down for attention or back and forth in emergency. Pictures are good. This is standard amoung us in the caves back home.

Air II fitting is brand specific so you can use whatever is the regulator, but bc hose has to be for whatever bc fitting you have.

    SR1 Reg

Hola, So I see on here the new regulator. I dive many different regs, but this one look much like atomic's regs. M1 1st meets Z2 2nd. I hear from my LDS that the new reg doesn't take o2 grease like the normal atomic reg and they deny atomic make the new reg. So do they or not?

    Hangair??????

I used hangair on an dive expedition so my drysuit would dry quicker because it got too sweaty and it was really nice. $45 vs. $25, I don't take the time to mess with home made dive gear because I am busy.

    A better ice diving class...

For Ice needing to tether up is good. I have only dived in a few ice dives, but even as a cave diver, appreciate the tether communication. I would rather swim free like in a cave, but if a problem happens, it's nice to have the security. Cold water is not always the best place to be.

Newest Sherwood Reg to be Unveiled at DEMA

K but back to the Sherwood, is the reg not an Atomic??? Even with the extra port off the 1st stage? It looks like a M1 1st with a Z2 2nd.

BARE Nex-Gen for a first drysuit?

Is a garbage bag with seals and a poor suit compare to DUI TLS SE. Dan's Dive Shop in St. Catharines, Canada just outifit my cousin for $1195 with u/w, rock boot, bag and socks and underwears. It's a better suit than a Bare with a more streamline cut and it has better customer support...

    250% stretch neoprene question

Jus remeber this........Henderson uses watersport neoprene, other companies like BARE and O'neill and Pincacle offer suits of higher denseness neoprene, that stretch as good if no better an they no compress the way that Henderson do. Henderson is quite less dense neoprene than other...

    Scubapro NovaScotia 6.5 mm Semi-Dry

Who got a suit for $450??????? The Canadian Price is over $550! I haven't liked Scubapro's new Canada Pricing since the new distrubution people took over! This sucks, but that's why I can get a drysuit cheaper from Oceaner.

Newest Sherwood Reg to be Unveiled at DEMA

It looks like a Atomic M1 with a fancy 1st stage cover and a Atomic 2nd stage like a Z2 but with a much nicer looking cover. So much for being made at Lockport NY Sherwood. Now is California! It's about time they got a good reg. I thought they'd makes a Genesis clone of the Oceanic 2nd...

Who Has The New Scubapro 250 vintage

I have an old G250 with the painted swirl paint on the 2nd stage and I don't like it's breathing vs. my S600 which is smoother breathing. I was told that the Apeks ATX50 was similar to the G250 and the S600 breath like an ATX200. I don't dive Apeks anymore, but Scubapro is good and they are...

    Dacor Eagle 1st stage leak?

Old Mares / Dacor regs explode in the HP seat. Make sure it's not that, by testing an intermediate pressure gauge on them to see if the intermediat pressure increase. If it don't, make sure the cap is tighest to the diaphragm first stage. I had one blow up once and it was the HP seat, no more...

    When to buy?

Ya, I like the gear swapping at Ginnie Springs because you can get cheap double tanks and stuff like that. Regs I am thinking depend on what you'r wanting to do with them. Do you need or want good regs? Do you want cheap? Relibability or Performance. I use Scubapro and newer Zeagle Most...

    Alp Maritimes Marine Institute Intro

Since I start diving in Canda a few years ago, I found that Canada was the best resource for courses. Divers are better trimmed and have more knowledge. I dived with a buncy of divers all over the country, mostly from Toronto, many don't know diving the way we do in Mexico in the caves, but...
