yes sir when the G9 was discontinued I got a spare. The power on switch on my primary G9 died took it to 3rd party to get repaired.. so still have 2 but that's one of the issues with housing a camera.. Kerry

The benefit is not the focus distance but the MAGNIFICATION, you get from the adapter. Kerry

Interesting statement, I think Ikelite is sort of marketing it as a simple mostly auto solution for point and shoot cameras... I thought it was pretty easy to get OK macro or closeup photos with this strobe. I still say it is a little underpowered for things other than macro BUT that depends...
