I would like to thank everyone for all the info but unfortunately the company and I couldn't agree on money so I'm back to square 1.
I was looking forward to diving, fishing, and walking on the beach.
Regards,
Doug
I was in my interview when it started. It stopped just as I was leaving :) Looks like the weather is a bust for us this weekend. We'll just drive around and check out different areas tomorrow. Man the color of the water was so sweet earlier today. I thought I was in the carribean.
Thanks again...
Thanks for all the good info. There are always bad areas somewhere in a town but knowing where that area is helps. I did some drift diving including a night dive off singer island a while back along with beach dives at LBTS so I know how good the diving can be. I was wondering how bad traffic is...
I'm flying in friday to check out the job and the area. Hope it all works out. Would love to be that close to awesome diving all the time.
Regards,
Doug
Wow thanks for all the info. Makes me even more excited about it now. I was/still am a little apprehensive about the housing affordability.
Thanks again,
Doug
I have a job opportunity in Jupiter and I was wondering if any of you are from around that area. What the area is like, traffic, crime, good places to live etc.
I have done a few drift dives there but never ventured around other than that. You can pm me with info/opinions if you don't want to...
Thanks for all the responses. Unfortunately the motel we were at didn't have internet service. But it was cheap ,ocean front, and walk out our room and dive.We did get out friday and saturday morning. That was pretty sweet. Made it out to the second reef which is definately nicer than the first...
Anyone familiar with the beach dives here diving this friday or saturday? Will be heading that way from tampa tomorrow. Also wondering how the night dives are there. Is it ltbs or ldbs?
Thanks,
Doug
Wow was it beautiful there today. We saw everything from grouper, hog, crabs, to stingrays. Wish it was like this all the time. We would like to thank fellow divers who posted conditions from saturday. We went because of you. :)
Regards,
Doug
scubadobadoo,
What i'm trying to say is that just about all the regs i've used feel like i'm not getting enough air and that I have to breathe real hard to get that air. Even the DM's reg. Some are more drastic than others.
I thought that breathing was suppose to be easy and not a task per...
I have (played) with the adjustments but still not a real major difference. I still think it is the equipment. Two years ago we dove in cozumel with rentals. The reg I had was breathing pretty wet and had to suck to get a good amount of air. After descending to the bottom all of us were...
I would be a little winded after about 3 or 4 flights of stairs but not out of breath. And that is at a normal pace. My wife has tried my reg and says it's fine but then again she is only 115lbs i am 190lbs.

Doug

First off i would like to thank everyone who replied to my thread.
Here is some info that many of you have questions about.
My setup consists of a bp/w and apeks atx 200/50 reg. I haven't used a wetsuit in years, only a t shirt so nothing restrictive. At first I thought the tight bc was part...
It seams like no matter what brand of reg i am breathing it's like I just can't get enough air out of it and then i get a little and sometimes a lot anxious. Is it possible I just need more air than normal? Some regs are rentals which I understand could be a problem but even my personal regs...
Any thoughts on this?
