Closed Brand New Nomad LS 2.0

No offers? That's surprising. I would have that it was a pretty good deal. I used to have an LT and was pretty happy with it until I had to quit for a while. Medical issues are causing me to abandon my plans to go back to sidmount.

I went crazy and bit the bullet to buy a Dive Rite LS, so now I'll have a dedicated sidemount rig, a Nomad cold water single tank rig, and my Air Travel warm water single tank travel rig. What can I say, I'm spoiled rotten!! :thumb:

Thanks for all the help Guys. I had sold my LTZ and the butt plate from my Nomad anf was diving single tank. I got a pair of Faber 50's wanting to go back to SM with a minimum of fuss. This helps. Thanks again

I'm not sure what you mean about not being able to use normal tanks with a butt plate. I've used al80's, HP80's, and HP 100's with my Nomad and an LTZ, all with butt plates. I was wondering if the butt plate was necessary The advantage of the 50's for me is less weight for my septuagenarian...

Just wondering.. It seems that the only way the lower end of steel tanks are attached is to a butt plate. I've always done mine that way....but... Is there any reason they can't be attached to the waist belt instead like al tanks?

Playa del Carmen Mid-November, Any Recommendations?

+1 on that.. There's a reason we don't feed bears. I have been attacked by little fish that insisted that they be fed..... So far I have no fear of sharks and I'd like to keep it that way.

Regulator choice: comfort and ease of breathing

FWIW I've used scubapro, conshelf, oceanic, sherwood, zeagle and hog, and a few others that are so far back in the mists of time that doubt they're even made now. So far, you can pry my Hogs from my cold dead fingers

Sidemount, seems cool but why give it a try ?

I gave up SM just recently. I found that I was using far more gas than single tank just pushing the rig around, so the benefit of having the extra gas wasn't all that great. Now for recreational dives I use the single tank and if I'm going deep and cold, I'll take a pony for the redundancy...

Accidentally dropped my steel tank. How bad is the damage?

No! No! Don't listen to these guys. Your tank is toast! Just ship it prepaid to my address and I'll dispose of it for you!! :rofl3:

Do Marine vs. Terrestrial Animals differ in dangerousness?

FWIW, I have been aggressively "attacked" by both fresh and salt water fish that expected to be fed. By attacked, I mean bitten. In each case they were small, and I was in a place where these fish would normally be fed, so my presence meant food. Why they were aggressive about it is beyond...
