There are couple of wrecks off Marathon but I've never seen a charter on any but the Thunderbolt. There's a barge in 200' and a couple other broke up wrecks in similar depths.
7 x 25min RT working dives in a day @ 50m on air in tropical conditions is recreational to me.
Doing the same amount of bottom time in two dives would be technical regardless of gas choices.
YMMV but errybody got opinions and 2 opinion dispensing orifices to voice them with.
Depends.
On some deep dives I will swim close to the bottom against the current and then drift back to anchor 10 to 20 feet above the bottom.
If it's really fishy I'll kneel in the sand and whack everything in sight.
Even 30 yrs ago, my wife's instructor took time to explain the nature and reasoning of any potential physical contact and asked her comfort level.
Some of the women I've dove with were athletes and used to being in close physical contact but I always clear up boundaries.
All these types of...
Alleged as in research has shown 30/70 is likely not conservative and 100/100 not either. In between is a large gray area with pontificating proponents positing positions perfectly free from fact.
I'll continue with 80/80 to 90/90 on air and lean nitrox until l see or feel damage. Maybe pad a few minutes here and there but that is already conservative to me. Maybe if I was doing big dives I'd consider a little more alleged conservatism.
Ain't nobody going down as fast head up or horizontal as a diver swimming down head first, silly to even suggest it. Maybe fast enough to get to a low current spot in good vis or shallow.
Each 1 knot of current is 101 fpm and much of the East coast of the US is at least a half knot at some...
Know at least a couple dozen guys who commercially harvest wearing only a backpack. Some since the 60s as I see steel 72s with 1960s hydros they bought new still in use.
Kudos for the cullers out there taking invasive and unbalanced populations.
Me not being a douchecanoe , your diving...
TBH, your skills and drive would be wasted as a DM or Instructor.
I have a number of other ex military buddies and quite a few of us gave it consideration but decided to pursue careers that allowed us to dive a lot. In my case I spearfished commercially and was able to dive a lot.
Now if...
Gypsy moth just got renamed. Kaffir lime continues to be offensive.
The dik-dik has been proposed to be renamed the they/their. By me, just now.
As has been mentioned, some of the names were changed to appease the chronically offended and not the group affected.
Slavery and territorial wars...
From my gallery here. Uploaded in 04 but likely happened before that. A medium goliath tried to play tug of way with this mutton snapper.
I had foolishly clipped my stringer to me for a swim to the next pocket of fish. Drydock off Jax in 130ish, one of the most amazing dives, a veritable aquarium.
Where exactly did I post this premise? You yourself provided limited data that does indeed indicate they eat fish primarily once adult. At least the ones in the study you provided as evidence of a primarily crustacean diet you initially asserted. You can't pick and choose to delete posts or...
