I'm curious about Puerto Rico too.
What's the diving on Vieques like?
What is the diving on the west side of the island like?
Also, if you have dove Mona Island, what were your impressions?
Thanks
Shoot! I've had my site hacked in the past (don't know if it's my web host's fault or someone hijacking and ftp session). Thanks for the tip. Periodically I just have to go in and blast away all the files and republish. Am doing that as we speak so it should be fixed later on today.
I wish I could say soon, but producing a book is a fraction of the cost of producing a DVD. It's on our to-do list, but I don't have a time frame yet.
Thanks for your well wishes! The book has exceeded our (and the industry standard) expectations for self-publishing.
Cheers, Kimberlee
There were four dive days with two dives per day total. I didn't dive myself because I had a nasty head cold that settled in my ears before the trip and caught another bug enroute, but my husband said that some of the dives--namely Scott's Head Pinnacles--was some of the best diving he's ever...
I know there's a dive shop on SB that's on the Caribbean side, but I'd like to hear from some others who have dove it. I know the word in the guide books is that it was decimated by the banana plantations, but I'm curious to see if that's still the case.
I understand the Pacific side has got...
Hello,
We have posted our trip recap from the scuba diving and yoga trip that we led in Dominica this March, if anyone is interested. We highly recommend Nature Island Dive in Soufriere Bay and Jungle Bay Resort & Spa. Enjoy.
Scuba Diving Adventure, Dominica 2009 - Recap
There are lots of reasons I don't like Liat, specifically their "leave island at ANY time" philosophy, but there's a far worse offense that we encountered.
While in Dominica (which was awesome, and we'll recap in another thread), Liat canceled my mother's flight and rescheduled her for another...

The weather is turning, so our thoughts now turn to our tropical dive trip. We are offering a Scuba Diving and Yoga Adventure March 7 - 14 on Dominica, the nature island of the Caribbean.
Here's why you should come:
-luxury eco resort
-4 days of diving including wall and night diving at a...
Don't wear the thermacare in a drysuit though, they are activated by oxygen and at depth they get too hot. On land, they are great.
Valerian root at night helped me, but I would not take it before a dive as it is a sedative.
Also, try this pose: Yoga Journal - Reclining Bound Angle Pose

Our son was born in May and it will be next March when I'll be diving again (being in Montana makes it not so easy either), but this January when I get back in the pool for some review. Waiting until he's at least six months, taking some solid foods and can go a bit longer between feeds.
But...
Don't get me wrong, I'm not anti-gym. I've worked in the fitness industry in various capacities since 1992 and even managed a gym at one point. Gyms work for a lot of people, particularly those who live in cold, wet climates.
But from what Tom described, it sounds like the gym is just not...
I tend to believe it because people who exercise outdoors are usually playing some kind of sport, or hiking, biking, etc. With sports comes the camaraderie, and a sense of competition. With hiking/biking/climbing comes varying scenery--a chance for your eyes to focus on seeing distance which...
I just read an interesting survey that showed people who exercise outdoors stick with their exercise programs more so than people who exercise strictly indoors.
It's a trend in health clubs to offer outdoor boot camp classes for that very reason.
I would recommend taking up the bike again...
Bikram seems to be a love it or hate it style. There are some things I like about it, mainly the heat, but I'm a heat fanatic.
However, there are some things I find missing in the 26-pose sequence, primarily leg inversions. It's very therapeutic to have your feet in the air in poses like legs...
