My LDS recommended an Diving Concepts drysuit, i think it was a Z series compressed Neoprene. I am curious if anyone has experience with these suits and if they are a decent purchase.

nope never, hate em. There will be one in my gear bag for use during SI but not while diving.

dove ft lauderdale in 5-6ft last year. the quick ride to the dive site was a bit rough and the viz was crappy, but it was a lot better than not diving.

is anyone running 2 tank wreck only trips out of the Ft Lauderdale area?

Computers max my bottom time. when you are on a huge wreck like the vandenberg or spiegel grove, there is no way you can consider them overkill

if your OW instructor did a good job, you should be all set to jump right to AOW.

you are forgetting the part where there are 10 other boats with divers in the area where you are trying to drift.

I just did a double dip on the Vandy with Captains Corner last weekend. Great Op. Got us to the wreck and didn't impose any silly restrictions on our dives.

i never wear one, but its not a bad idea to get a small folding one for drift dives where you may be on the surface for a while waiting for the boat to get to you.
