    Diving in Fiji

I went to Figi last November. We stayed on the liveaboard "Nai'a." It was fabulous! The diving was absolutely incredible, the food was fantastic, and the crew was world class. I would not hesitate to go back again!

    Recovery from rotator cuff surgery

OK, so it sounds like if I'm a good girl, don't overdo it, and do my PT everyday, there is a possibility that I'll be able to go overseas diving on a liveaboard as long as I'm careful with how much weight I lug around, and am careful with my shoulder? Surgery is set for July 3, Solomon Islands...

    Recovery from rotator cuff surgery

I know this is an old thread, but I was wondering how everyone made out with diving after their surgery. I tore my rotator cuff last month and am having surgery in July. I'm supposed to go on a liveaboard trip overseas in the middle of Sept. I know that will be pushing it, but if I'm careful...

    Honeymoon Dive Resort Suggestions?

I travel a lot for diving, and have been to quite a few places. Until recently, I was a solo diver and traveled by myself or with a few friends or a group. The ONLY time I ever wish I had a SO was when I stayed at the Deep Blue in Utila!!! It's so remote, romantic, and IMHO, a perfect place...

    Diving in Lebanon?

My BF and I are planning a trip on the Blue O Two to the Red Sea in the beginning of June. Since we are going to be there anyway, we were wondering if there are any land-based boats out of Lebanon to do a dive or two afterwards while we're there sightseeing. Any suggestions? Are there better...

    Favorite Liveaboard Destination

I have to agree with greylion! I've been on many liveaboards, with most being bigger boats, but you can't beat the Naia or Fiji for great diving advenures! Let's face it......as long as you have a place to lay your head at night, have good food inbetween dives, fabulous dives that you never...

Last Years recap and new years dive resolution

What a fabulous year of diving this has been for me! 2012 was very good to me (diving-wise, anyway). Looking forward to new adventures in 2013! a) Gear purchases - I finally broke down and bought a drysuit. People laugh at us in Florida, but it gets pretty darn cold during SI's in the...

Short Notice Dives - What's yours?

My gear is always ready. I can meet for a dive at the drop of a hat. I can pack my gear in 10 min. and be out the door, and wherever I need to be in whatever time it takes to get to the site. Oft times my dive center will call (I'm 10 minutes away) and ask how soon I can get there, as someone...

Yes, we'll be taking AA from Miami to LAX, then Air Pacific to Fiji. Will indeed make it part of the report. :-)

Fiji in December - Nai'i or Island Dancer II?

Thanks! We just booked a week for the Nai'a Dec. 1-8. We also decided to use Caradonna instead of Dive the World. Will write a trip report when we get back.

    Observations - "I don't know"

Wow! I never thought about a compass being a big deal! Goes to show my scope of knowledge! I can understand people comparing computers and other gear, but I always thought a compass was a compass was a compass. At least I never profess to knowing it all.......the more I learn the more I know...

Hello All! Any Oldies Out There?

I started diving when I was 55, and am making up for lost time! A friend of mine just got certified last year at the ripe young age of 70. One is never too "old" to learrn something new. Welcome to the wonderful world of Scuba!!

Fiji in December - Nai'i or Island Dancer II?

A friend and I are planning on going on a liveaboard in Fiji in Dec. We have a choice of two liveaboards......Nai'i or the Island Dancer II. Does anyone have any experience with either of these boats? Also, we're dealing with Dive the World as the travel agent. Any other suggestions or...

OT- Any divers from the Jupiter area?

Hi Doug, I've lived in Jupiter for the past 23 years and absolutely love it here! Crime rate is low, and you have all kinds of options as to where to live for a large range of prices. Traffic is not that bad, as Jupiter is a fairly small town. You'll love it here! Oh, and the diving is...

    2011 Exercise and Fitness Challenge

Got lots of exercise (hiking up and down hills in Ct.) this past week. Today isn't going to be so good, as I'm waiting in an airport for a delayed flight. Would love to walk up and down the terminal, but dragging my luggage along with me isn't appealing. When I get home I have a dinner and...

Post Your Pretty Funny Stuff Here

An elderly couple are attending church services... About halfway through, she writes a note and hands it to her husband. It says, "I just let out a silent fart. What do you think I should do?" He scribbles back, "Put a new battery in your hearing aid."
