Sounds like a bargain to hear and meet one of the most accomplished, experienced and interesting, yet unassuming individuals in diving that I'm lucky and proud to call a friend.
She was in fact stored on the hard in a yard in Portsmouth, RI through "06". Where she ended up from there is not known to me.
We; the friend that took the photo and I, went to the yard where the photo was taken in February of this year and she was nowhere to be found.
Actually; us pass holding Rhode Islanders will still be paying $.83! Geez . . . we finally get a break.:D

JAMESTOWN, R.I.Commuters to and from Newport will have to pay extra starting next month.
The Rhode Island Turnpike and Bridge...
With consideration for the fine man, excellent diver, and just plain ole good guy that Paul is, as well as for those on this board that know him, let the classy and respectful decorum that this site typifies shine and may conjecture about what may have happened be held at bay until more...
IMHO; good call not venturing out there. While the Endicott can be pretty, she sure isn't worth getting beat up on a crappy day to dive.
If I may ask . . . what is the name of the "another" wreck that you were going to search for?

IMHO; not necessarily true. With a bank of O2 in your mixing station, say three bottles or so (I use three), one can typically fill forties to 1800 to 2400 PSI and have enough O2 for deco on most any dive. Please note; emphasis on MOST. :D
Just my $.02
It's my understanding that he will go where ever he is asked. I heard him a few months ago and it was very interesting. I was lucky enough to go along as crew and safety diver if needed on one of the Palmer/Crary dives. I didn't even get wet so I'm not implying that I was anywhere near "the...
IMHO, this is a presentation not to miss. Anyone that does any "typical" wreckdiving in our waters cannot help but to be impressed with the logistics and equipment required, as well as talent, experience and just plain old courage needed to plan and carry out dives to the depths that this team...
Sure had some of us scrambling for a pen and paper!:D
And yes; it was good seeing many friends and Dive Buddies there. The night Film Festival was enjoyable, but made for a long day. Howard and Michelle Hall's talk was interesting regarding the use of the IMAX camera as well as Michael...
Well, I got to break the "dry spell" and hit the water Saturday at Fort Wetherill. I was joined by RIO and a couple of friends from the Old Colony Amphibians as I got to make my 1st dive after being released from the Docs care due to a motorcycle "incident" in July of 08. Vis was only about 6...
I was just messing around with my charting program and thought it would be fun to post a visual representation of the diving opportunities that we have available.
Here ya go:Rhode Island's Wrecks!
