My two cents worth: Dont bother diving in Singapore. On a good day, 2 metres viz.... on a bad day, your guess is as good as mine.... Go Tioman, you won't regret it. LOB is good but costlier than diving in Tioman...

You'll do fine. 30M and 40M not that much difference, except your reduced bottom time, air and extended safety stop. Current should not be an issue with your experience unless your 80 dives were in a bathtub...:D Have a good trip to Layang Layang....
