    Buoyant Turtle Style fins?

Bought the OMS Slipsteams and I really love them. My feet stay up nicely with my wet suit. I've bought a second pair XXL for my drysuit now, and will transfer my springs over from my Turtle fins. Thanks to you all for the great advice!

That's it exactly! I prefer them to wing nuts.

Bolting Down a BP/Wing on a Doubles Rig

When I dove doubles, I used 316 SS flanged nuts, they worked great! I think I got them from McMaster-Carr. I ordered a handfull. I took a little box end wrench with me as well. Slicker than whale S**T!

Dive caddy - airline carry on solution

Looks cool, but $299! Ouch. I use a samsonite F'lite for my rEvo, fits like it was made for it.

What all metal regulator should I get?

My Cyclon 2nd stage used to be plastic. One of my stage bottles fell over before a dive and snapped off the diaphram. I converted it to metal with some parts from a LDS pretty cheaply and easily. Looks pretty too! I have always had the IP set at 135 PSI, and am told that this is common...

What all metal regulator should I get?

I think that Poseidon's reputation for being a difficult regulator to service is undeserved. I found the manuals online, and they've been fairly straight forward. Maybe it's just hard to find someone who is "certified" to work on them? I have been told to set the IP from 135-150 PSI on the...

What all metal regulator should I get?

I have both a Cyclon and a Jet stream on my bail-out bottles, and used them on my doubles before that with no problems, freeflow or otherwise. Don't worry about it being DIN. Just buy a DIN to yoke adapter; you can get a used adapter fairly cheap, it doen't matter what brand. FYI, set the...

    Buoyant Turtle Style fins?

I'll look into the OMS Slipstream. I also heard that Diverite makes a lighter fin. A friend mentioned that there was a turtle style fin that was actually bouyant. I'm quite negative with my rebreather so I would like to cut some weight at my feet if I can, rather than add more on top. Thanks...

    Buoyant Turtle Style fins?

My Turtle fins are too heavy when I'm wearing a wetsuit making it extremely hard, if not impossible to keep my feet from sinking. I was told that somewhere there is a fin that is a bouyant Turtle style/Jet style fin that would hopefully help me keep proper trim. Is anyone aware of where to look...

    Shearwater Predator

I totally agree that the Predator is awesome. I had to have one of the switches replaced because it became stubborn. I had it back within a few days. The service was awesome as well.

    OLED wrist choices?

I have the predator and love it. VERY easy to read. Updates/upgrades are free online. It connects to the computer through bluetooth. I have the rebreather model with a fischer connector. I couldn't read my VR3 worth a damn. The VR3 is now my back-up. Delta P trys to nickle and dime you to death...

    I Cut It

There are swage fittings available for low pressure hose applications. They're much more reliable, and professional looking. I have a few on my LP hoses for my rebreather. There's a place called Custom Fittings, and I thing Oxychek sells them as well.

    Looe Key/Key West next week

I used "Sub Tropic Divers" for my trip on the Vandenberg. There were 4 of us diving, 3 in one group on single 80's, and me solo on a rebreather. A ripping current. I had to pay extra because they said there were cancelations. (I thought if you cancelled within a 24 hour period, they kept your...

Shooting salt water up my nose everyday & feeling good! Anybody else doing this?

I used to do this quite a while ago, and have started it again using a store purchased Neti-pot. I'm trying to decrease nasal congestion and snoring. It's a little strange getting used to it. I imagine that after this, if I'm capture by enemy forces, water boarding will be a piece of cake!

    laser eye correction and diving

No problem! Best thing I ever did! After the drops wear off, your eyes will sting pretty good for about a half hour, then fine. I had a girl friend that had exactly the same experience, some stinging for a half hour.

Help with Key Largo Dive Shop - Forgot name

I was there recently and I was in that same shop. It's a taller squarish building that's blue i believe. I can't remember the name. Call Silent World, they near it and would tell you the name.
