    Seaquest Balance

My Balance travels well and is sturdy enough to handle any dives I want to make. For me, it has the right combination of reliability and sturdiness, coupled with moderate weight and packability. When I went shopping for a replacement BC/birthday present for my wife, I looked at the Zuma. It's...

    Bonaire-dec 4-12 need a dive buddy

It shouldn't be too hard to find a dive buddy. Best of luck and enjoy your Bonaire trip!

Top 5 Best Dive Sites in Bonaire?

I just returned from Bonaire. The conditions were not as good as they usually are, but most of the best dives were in the North this trip: better vis, less current, less surf.

Top 5 Best Dive Sites in Bonaire?

There are many excellent dive sites on Bonaire, but here are a few of my favorites: Karpata Hilma Hooker 1,000 Steps Angel City Ol' Blue Hope you enjoy your trip. I just returned and the viz was subpar (averaging about 35-40 feet). We still enjoyed the dives, but not as much as we...

    Wannadive Bonaire - trip report

I last dove with Wannadive in 2008 and they run an excellent operation. In fact, I'm heading back on Oct 2nd for another week there at Eden Beach resort, in the company of some Nashville friends.

    Seaquest Balance

I also haven't had problems bleeding air from the bladder. I did replace the factory SeaQuest tank strap with a ScubaPro tank strap. It works very well.

I like what I've seen of your magazine. Thanks for your efforts!

    Seaquest Balance

Yes, the Libra is the Seaquest women's equivalent to the Balance. I just lean back a little on the surface a little to allow for the bladder location and it isn't a problem. The trim and fit under the water more than compensate for any topside inconvenience.

AL Legend LX or Oceanic EOS?

I would also consider the Atomic line of regulators. I own a ScubaPro MK20/G250 and an Aqualung Legend LX and have tried many more (Mares, Apex, Zeagle, etc.). They are both excellent regs, but in my opinion, my new Atomic Z2X breathes easier and drier in any position. The swivel on the hose...

"Affordable" place in St Croix ?

We've stayed at Jasmine Manor and really enjoyed our visit. It is a "dive-friendly" place, with a secure area to rinse and store wet gear if you are shore diving and located only a couple of blocks from the waterfront/pier in Frederiksted. No A/C, but comfortable and very reasonably priced...

    Atomic mask now leaking

I'm having exactly the same problem with the same mask. I have prescription lenses installed and the mask has begun leaking in the last couple of months.

    Info about St. Croix

You are right about Rust Op...confused that site with Little Cozumel, though I don't know how. I've been diving with Anchor for a while and during my most recent two week trip, we dove Pavilions, Northstar, Jimmy's Surprise, etc. We didn't make it to Vertigo this time, though I've done it...

    Info about St. Croix

Not to be argumentative, but we saw them twice at Salt River last week and Rust Op Twist the week before that.

    Info about St. Croix

Yes, Michelle and Dive Experience do dive the North Shore. I've seen them there lots of times from other boats.

    st croix vs st thomas

It is correct that the best dives in St. Thomas are wrecks, but having visited both, I would choose St. Croix for the better boat diving and shore diving. Anchor Dive Center runs an excellent operation in Salt River. Their boat rides are five minutes from the best dives on the North Shore. If...

"Into the Drink" Premieres This Week

Nick, I have not been able to find your program listed on any TV guide for Cincinnati. I contacted Retro TV in Nashville to find out why it wasn't showing up. This was their response: *********************************************** Hi Brian, Into the Drink is carried on our Tuff TV channel...

Cruising and I need to dive

Anchor Dive is my favorite dive operator on St. Croix. Excellent service, competitive prices, very short boat rides (surface interval usually at the dock), good folks all the way around.

    Clearest water

Yes, it was pretty clear when we dove it last week.

    Darwin Awards of Diving

I'm still shaking my head in amazement. You reacted better than a lot of divers might have. I too would enjoy overhearing his conversation with the LDS staff if he returns the reg.
