Tried that, but unfortunately it exceeds the max filesize of 400k for a PDF file. :dontknow:
"Your file of 618.7 KB bytes exceeds the forum's limit of 400.0 KB for this filetype."
I've got the manual. PM me with your email and I'll send it to you if you wish. Meanwhile, from the manual:
To set the Dive Mode, press and hold the MODE button for two seconds in
the Dive Record Recall Mode.
When the word "MO" appears on the display, press the ST./STP. button to
select...
Unfortunately that's too far as I need to start heading back home in the opposite direction, but it looks like I am going to be able to do Venice Beach in the am. :D
Still down here and looking for someone to dive with. Have done Ginnie Springs, Rainbow and Crystal River in the past few days. Looking for something to do Friday and Saturday (hopefully low cost). Have had spotty access to the net, so that's not helping. :(
But hey! The weather's nicer than it...
Any word on the vis? I don't want to make the trip down if it isn't going to be worth diving. Have had very spotty access to internet so it's been hard to keep an eye on whether anyone's been posting about it.
Yes, we're camping right on the Chaz, so it'll be pretty handy to paddle. I was assuming not too good to dive. Good to know that we need to watch the tides on it.
Any must-do places to go see or eat in the neighborhood? This will be my first visit to the area, though others in the group have...
I don't have any overhead experience so I won't be looking for that. I'm self-outfitted and have my own kayak so won't really need anything other than air and someone to go blow bubbles with.
We're going to paddle/snorkel on the Chaz, Crystal & Rainbow Rivers and Weeki Wachee springs...
Ugh, I've been in close to 0 vis conditions before. Sounds like not real good for fossil hunting or sightseeing. Here's hoping it clears up over the next week, though long range forecast looks like a good chance of rain Monday & Friday :( Guess I'll keep my fingers crossed.
That's too bad. So... when the vis is destroyed, what is it? I'm used to the 40 degree water and 5 ft or less of vis in some of the quarries around here, so I'm thinking for me it'll be like paradise. Though I actually did have 30' of vis and water in the 50's once. ;)
I'm doing Ginnie on...
I'll be in the Crystal/Rainbow River area doing some paddling and snorkeling 3/22-3/25, and would be interested in doing some diving in the late afternoon or evenings on those days if there's something else interesting nearby. On Fri/Sat 26-27th, I'd also be interested in doing something at a...
I'll be visiting NW Florida next week mostly for some kayaking and snorkeling, but would also like to get in some time near Venice Beach. Would anyone be interested in getting wet either on Friday 26th or Saturday 27th?
Hello all! I was going through the buddy finder, but noticed a lot of inactive members and thought posting this way might be more effective.
I'm from Ohio and making a trip to the Homosassa area in March (~21st-26th) with our local paddling/kayaking group. None of whom dives other than me. :(...
Hmmm... not that I'm recommending it at this price ($15 + shipping), but a quick search showed a Suunto watch band extender on ebay. Interesting. Probably worth it, but for 1/3 the price of what the watch itself cost... :-/
I finally dove mine and didn't get the auto-backlight to work either (it IS enabled), but I'm not sure if ambient light was just too bright to notice it or it wasn't doing it at all.
Wasn't intuitive, so I had to get out the instructions to change my setting from SEA to LAKE. Not sure how...
I'm not counting on decent vis, though at least it should be better than the last time I was there - kneeling in the winter's worth of muck on the platform during my OW cert dive.
I think we generally hang around the central beach so I'll wander over and see if I can find you.
I'll be spending the weekend camping at Blue Springs and would be more than happy to get a couple of dives in with you if y'all don't mind an inexperienced diver tagging along (just got AOW last fall). I'm easy to find - I'll be the pony-tailed gent over with the fine folks from Scuba Unlimited.
Well, a friend headed over to Blue Springs in Indiana this past weekend just to camp and check the place out since last year's flood. He was kind enough to take the watch with him and tossed it in on a line for me to see if it worked underwater as well as on land.
According to the watch, on...
Will do, though the only thing I can really compare it to is my current backup which is a cheap old $20 Timex. If it turns itself on, it's bound to be better since I generally forget to check my watch anyway. :shakehead:
I'll probably get it in the water in about a month when the quarries...
