Fin rubbing top of right foot...

Thanks for the input...I do wear neoprene socks under my boots....It just feels like I've developed a bone spur (?) on the top of my foot... right where the top of the fin (on both pairs) rubs the very top of my foot...the spring straps don't feel too tight, so I may try stretching the foot...

Fin rubbing top of right foot...

I have had a knot (not particularly painful) on the top of my right foot where my fins (both pairs) are rubbing a place. My fins are Force Fins with inserts and spring straps worn with summer booties and Aqualung FlexBlades II with 5mm booties and spring straps. So even with the thicker...

A Few trips with Silent World

Oh and I did 8 dives with SW in June with Pat as my DM (yes, I paid extra), and it was worth every penny. She is wonderful, patient, funny and safety oriented. SW is my first choice of who to dive with in KL, hands down. JMHO.

A Few trips with Silent World

If you don't like carrying your own gear, tanks, and weights and setting up your rig and changing it out during the SI, please don't come to NC! You may take a seat on a charter that some of us self-sufficient divers are on a waiting list for!:D

    Exposure Protection for Monterey

Ok....I think when I go back to charlotte tom, I am switching the 5mm to a 7mm and also get a 5 or 7mm core warmer to go with a 7mm hood...sounds like this will allow me to do diving in the places i want and not get cold...Thank you very much for the input! I am thinking of doing a Channel...

    Exposure Protection for Monterey

This does help...I am wondering if I could rent a larger vest to go over the 5mm Merino wool Pinnacle and hood to be able to do 2 or 3 dives in Monterey and then use this suit in Catalina or So Cal? I understand that even if I don't feel cold, I can still be getting mildy hypothermic, but...

    Exposure Protection for Monterey

It does help because our local quarry is between 50-60 at depth (30-60') and colder than that if doing a deep dive, and I have worn my 1mm with skin all but once, and that was to try my 3/2 to get my weighting right....Not cold at all..everybody else has hoods and 3/2's with layers so with the...

    Exposure Protection for Monterey

I appreciate all the replies...I may try and rent a 7 mm for Monterey...But I travel to Nor Cal 3-4x's a year and SoCal at least 2x year, so I'd like a suit that would do in the quarry here, but also appropriate in Monterey and Catalina...Thanks for the input..I wear a 3/2 with beanie and 5mm...

    Exposure Protection for Monterey

during week of sept. 22-26? If I do not tend to be cold natured even in quarries, etc, could I do a 2 tank boat dive off Monterey during this time in a Pinnacle Elastoprene with Merino wool lining 5mm full suit with matching hood? I just bought this suit (rather expensive) for diving in local...
