For free there is DaVinci Resolve, very powerful and needs some pretty hefty computer power. I use Adobe Premier Elements. Get the job done for simple edits. If you work in the educational field or have a student the educators discount is a pretty good deal.
Have you tried shooting video with it? I just watched a video from Backscatter on best settings for shooting video underwater. My son has a TG-5 that i'm thinking about borrowing.
