1st I love this thing.
I won't be diving for at least the next 6 months maybe longer. I want to store my Perdix AI and since I don't want to pull it out and experience battery corrosion I want to pull the battery. The question is what data or configuration information if any will be lost...
I'm sorry if my dive experience falls short of your standards of an experienced diver. The reason that I am considering the VTX is I am looking to lighten up my overall travel gear. Right now I am considering ditching my VT4 laptop combo in favor of a VTX tablet combo. This is still in the...
In the never ending quest to reduce my travel tech I'm considering moving from my VT4 to a VTX. I do know there were some initial issues when the unit transitioned from aeris to oceanic. I was wondering if these issues were resolved. Also since I am android based if someone can comment on the...
Scuba Obsessed is way to infrequent. DiverSync the host (a diveshop owner) seems to enjoy misteps made by the inexperienced a little too much for my liking. And his opinion of SB members are that we sit around talking about diving and not diving. Scuba Radio I hate the morning zoo format...
I'm ready to give Playa del Carmen a try and I've found a package at the perfect price the only problem is I have no knowledge of Playa del Carmen. so the package is being offered by Yucatek Divers & Hotel Casa de Gopala. Does anyone know anything about these operations?
Same here. No sign of any damage whatsoever. Make sure you turn off the transmitter while changing the battery then turn it on after you put the battery back in.
Sometimes the battery change is not as easy as it seems.
I have similar stats on my vt3 transmitter and I knew I had to change my battery before the next trip. It wasn't dead but it needed replacing. I bought the official battery kit and changed the battery no problem. Then the transmitter...
I'm using a Oceanic VT-4 which is a wireless AI unit nice size display does mixed gas, multiple tanks, bu.. I mean an additional divers transmitter and the list goes on. I would suggest that you get a computer that can at least do nitrox although honestly I think you would have to search for one...
I agree.
I'm sure that if you are diving with a reputable dive operator they would probably do it for you if you ask them. That is if you are not comfortable DIY and assure that you have the same reg each time you dive. My only concern would be that the possibility of damage to the transmitter...
I think you did Tressa. I just purchased the DC 1200 Elite for a trip to Roatan back in October and I have to say when I looked at the pics I was amazed at what they looked like. Now I'm not going to say they were as good as professional but, They were the best I ever took. It travels well and...
I recently bought a DC 1200 Elite package for my trip to Roatan and the camera worked great on every dive but 1. It was the 2nd dive of the day and the previous dive went without incident. I'm descending with the camera and I proceed to turn on the power. The camera powers up for a second then...
I recently went on a series of dives over the course of 4 days and my VT3 worked flawlessly without incident. At the end of the trip I downloaded my dives to my computer a process I have done often. I noticed that the 1st dive of the series would not download. I checked the internal VT3 logbook...
