Read lots of reviews, still confused. My wife and I are both experienced divers, she is recreational and I am a tech diver. We will have our own dive gear and a rental car to expand our diving options. I am thinking the big island, but am open to all options. We are adventurous and most often travel the not so beaten path. Looking for a central place for home base where we expand our adventures. We will most likely find a place on vrbo to stay. Would like to know of "must dive sites" and good shop recommendations to dive with and rent tanks. Hand holding not necessary, mainly a boat ride or good directions.
