Thanks, will need to do this a few times to get it into my head, but the actual working out is fairly simple.

I think the mods or whoever should cosider a 'sticky' topic on this somewhere, a place where these formulae and gas calculation concepts are readily available.

like - how to calculate your SAC rate, How to calculate your bottom time, Rule of thirds, Rock bottom times etc etc

Write the formulae in your log book and commit them to memory if you can. Were you taught this on your course or is it stuff you picked up here or on other boards? I've picked this up from various sources and wasn't taught any gas management at all for OW.

Just searching through here and finding various diving websites/boards.

Nina touched on it enough to make us aware of gas management issues, but we didnt go into any depth on it.

Good idea to make the info a page in the log book......................
