Mark your calendar for September 30 for the NFSA's annual event at Orange Grove in Wes Skiles Peacock Springs State Park. We will have a variety of speakers, presentations, and activities for all to enjoy. Lunch is included, and we will have door prizes. At the end of day, we will have our annual meeting followed by a BOD meeting.

Want to get a dive in? You will have time for a dive, lunch, and as many or as few presentations as you wish. Conditions permitting, overhead certified divers can dive the cavern and cave. Open water divers can dive the Orange Grove basin.

Admission is free for members. Not a member yet? You can join for as little as $15 for an individual membership or $30 for a family membership. Go to www.northfloridaspringsalliance.org.

We will post more information related to speakers, donors, schedule, and how to register later on this site.

Thanks you all for your support, and we hope to see you then.

Hello SB member,

Just wanted to remind you of the NFSA annual workshop, meeting, and volunteer appreciation day that is approaching. It will be conducted at the Orange Grove Pavilion at Wes Skiles Peacock Springs State Park on September 30. Admission is free to members. If your membership has expired, just renew your membership for admission. To register, let me know via email or you can go to www.eventbrite.com and search for NFSA.

We will have 4 speakers this year which will allow time in the afternoon to enjoy the park - either in or out of the water. Speakers and topics include Steve Gamble (Drysuits); Adam Hughes (Exploration and Mapping); Kelly Jessop (Fauna Count assessments); and Mike Stine (Trail Walk). Although the events will begin around 9AM, plan to arrive earlier if you would like a cup of coffee to get you going.

We will provide a BBQ lunch for you followed by door prizes from area dive shops and businesses and acknowledgement of our volunteers. Speaking of door prizes, we are appreciative of Dive Rite, Cave Excursions, Dive Outpost, Scuba Tiger, Extreme Exposure, Cave Country Dive Shop and more to come!

The remainder of the day will be our annual members meeting followed by a BOD meeting. You are welcome to attend as many activities as you want.

For questions, email me or call me at 229-873-0889.

Hope you have a great holiday weekend, and we hope to see you on the 30th!

On a final note, if you are a dues paying member, you should have received 3 newsletters this year with another to be sent within a week. If you have not received them, let me know.
